Yes because I already bought one. It was a selfish answer not a troll answer. I wouldn't have bought one if individual copies were available, I would have bought the 3 records I want for well under $500. Sorry for offending you and your gods.

Didn’t offend me. Gods? No. I do really love TMV’s music, though. I already bought one too, and I don’t care about the rarity. I hope this announcement is individual releases. Hard to say what individual releases would do to the value of a /5000 box set. Maybe you can sell the box and grab the individuals. The collectibles market is so crazy right now.

I'm hoping it's the first one but it's gotta be one of 'em.

You’re hoping it’s more overpriced box sets?

You got me. I have to admit I didn’t think your posts in this thread were cleaver or funny enough to be troll posts, but clearly I was mistaken.

I think you guys are referring to this track - and according to the CH twitter account, it doesn't sound like it will be there based on this thread

That is a terrible excuse for this oversight, but I guess there’s the answer. No, it is NOT included in this  set that supposedly “contains the band's whole studio discography.”

i wasn’t going to ask a question that can’t be answered, but I can’t help myself. How is the song FTM, not apart of the story of the album FTM? I thought the story at the time of album release was that the song was removed from the album solely for time constraints so it would fit on one CD. It literally fades out with exactly the same music that the first song on the album fades in with, but is “not part of the story.” Okay.

Yep, if they can't confirm it at this point its either (A) No it won't be included but we don't want to come and flat out admit so as it will piss lots of people off, or (B) We haven't agreed all the final details including tracklisting so we will be nowhere near ready to ship until July/August!

Or, it’s a surprise? Maybe? No? I believe in fairies?

Here's a recap of my day:

7:30am - A Wilhelm Scream - Woke up to a notification email that those represses went live during the night instead of what was expected to be 10:00am. Scrambled to my computer to get those.
11:00am - Saves the Day - Easy peasy. On to the next.
11:15am - State Lines - Got the Counter Intuitive newsletter that they had 50 copies of the State Lines record they were giving away for free to anyone who ordered the other state lines record they repressed. I own copies of both these already, but whatever, $15 for 2 records I love, I'll variant chase at that point.
1:00pm - Yellowcard - Had somewhere to be at 1:30 so I was driving. Pulled off the highway into a parking lot at 12:55 to fuck around on my phone for the drop. Internet connection sucked, website crashed, missed out.
2:00 - The Lawrence Arms - Had to order both the single colored LP and the shirt bundle, you know cause Fat is sneaky like that.

Some might say (my wife) that I have a problem. I'm just hoping I can make it until dinner with out having to spend another $100 dollars.

The Mars Volta box or not a true fan of represses.

Jesus christ am I really going to buy this dumb ass thing?
    I cant right?

What are the odds they end up selling these as seperate LP's in like 3 months....

thats my real question. Honestly dont need all the raraties and that jazz, just want a few albums TBH

I think the odds are pretty good. Just my opinion, no inside info.

Damn, if I didn't already have all the OG's I'd be all over this. I'm hoping Landscape Tantrums gets a separate release.

C’mon, you don’t think some of us have OP’s and didn’t this, too? Get on board this boat. It’s sinking FAST!!!

    It literally says remastered

The only one that has been remixed was tremulant, right? But it’s using the original mix on this. So everything has been remastered. The sad thing is, if it had the song Frances the Mute and had been remastered in a way that would yield better (anything!) SQ, then I think it would be in marketing description, right?

also, there were some odds and ends like covers  and extra tracks that are not included here. Ugh.

Damn, I’m not helping myself here.

No, the price went up dramatically sometime after TAFH box set came out and they realized people would pay $30 per 12”. Originally Gish was $20 and SD was $25. Now SD goes for $50 list.

  10. It’s pretty amazing what the “Deluxe” box sets of this and Facelift contain or really don’t contain.

Rare tracks, b-sides, demos, live material, high res, surround, etc. The remix of White Pony is definitely a cool addition. But no other musical extras? I get it, there may be somethings that different fans don’t like (I don’t really care for live material), but to include next to nothing for anybody just seems poorly thought out.

Pretty sure that's basically been every pressing so far. It needs to be remastered for vinyl, but it won't.

Maybe. The In Keeping Secrets vinyl remaster just ended up sounding funny, and the Good Apollo wasn’t anything mind blowing. GA sounded fine/good though. Without transparency into that side of production, it’s near impossible for me to accept that something was or wasn’t done based of someone’s perceptions. The way modern music is recorded and produced make it even harder to tell if things were done “right”.

I’m way off topic. Enjoy the record.

It honestly doesn't sound bad, especially considering the production on this album wasn't the highest quality to begin with. It's got the same tracks from the 2011 pressing and includes the 7 inch tracks that came with it.

The 2011 pressing doesn’t include Junesong Provision (Acoustic) or Everything Evil (Demo). The 7” had IRO-bot and Elf Tower New Mexico.

I didn’t say the CD or stream sounded bad. I’m not a vinyl purist, or fanatic. Vinyl doesn’t sound better because it’s vinyl, or analog at some point in the massive chain from when it’s recorded to when it hits my ears.

Whether something is counterfeit or official, I like to know what it is I’m buying or listening to.
