  1. I'd consider it if the price was right. I probably have a small handful of records I could use cleaned. Then to find something to do for a few hours while you clean them. Maybe check out Pacific Mall.
  2. You are right, I emailed Sacred Bones and those rate hikes took effect Monday. They said they are working on a system to help International customers out, maybe create additional incentives to make it worth the entire cost. Unfortunate though, these new prices basically make any one off record order not worth it. Will have to try and develop better relationships with local stores and deal with them to keep costs down.
  3. Anyone else notice a steep shipping increase on The Men release? I ordered the limited Psychic Ills and shipping was $7 to Canada. They quote $11.50 for shipping on The Men release. An LP plus CD can't weigh that much more than an LP plus 7".
  4. If anyone needs more, I probably have 20-30 12" and 10-20 7" ones. Also in Toronto.
  5. It was alright, for $40 I got a Melvins, Night Beats and JEFF the Brotherhood 7", but the rest I didn't care for. Not subscribing this year as they early announcement doesn't do much for me, and you can buy them individually later, just not in the limited colours. Also disappointed they said there would be a Pink Mountaintops 7" and that never happened. Unless it's the last special surprise for 2012. Also, JEFF the Brotherhood is not involved in the 2013 one, they are the last one from 2012.
  6. I have it...and enjoy it, although I agree it is expensive, as all Music On Vinyl releases tend to be. It looks and sounds great, and the 8 page book is a nice little addition, although it is nothing special. If you like the album and songs, you will like the album, it does sound nice. Can't say much more than that, there really isn't anything groundbreaking or mindblowing about it. I bought it from Picadilly, so 24 GBP plus shipping. I suppose it is worth it, but as I try and collect everything from Nick Cave and Mark Lanegan, it sort of was a must purchase for me.
  7. According to Sacred Bones Facebook: Woah, just found a handful of the limited edition Moon Duo "Circles" LP.
  8. Mine have never been shipped via FedEx, always USPS. Perhaps email Third Man and ask why/tell them not to use FedEx. Regardless, I don't ever bother paying their invoices. They threaten to send them to collections, but they have never shown up on my credit report.
  9. They are all shipping from the UK, not Australia. And from talking to a guy at Modular, it will likely only be available from them.
  10. Yeah, I just talked to Chris in the band and he said they are long gone. Same with the cassettes (there were only ever 20 of those). Just checked out another shop in town and they didn't have them. Saw them for years and I wish I took a chance on them and grabbed em back then. Still managed to find the 7" at Sonic Boom recently no problem though, so happy about that.
  11. Does anyone know where to find the first 3 7"s online? I saw them forever at Toronto shops, but now that I want them, they're all sold out. Holding out hope they have some at their show Friday, but chances seem slim. And what's the cassette? Can't say I've seen it before.
  12. Details of the Uncle Acid pre-order are up on Rise Above 100 clear http://www.riseabove...oducts/view/404 500 black, 400 colour in colour, 400 trans blue, 400 clear with purple specks http://www.riseabove...ducts/view/405/ While the 100 clear is the most limited, the others seem more interesting, and I don't see anything that makes the 100 clear any more special (like the original die-hard) other than the fact it is more limited
  13. Did all the copies of the Wool LP get sold? I had PM'd you Justin but never heard back. I was moving all day and didn't finish until after the show closed unfortunately.
  14. I was up to buy one, but asked what I imagine was one of their dads, if they'd be available online and he said yes. I didn't know it would be a different version (albeit just the sleeve is different I think). I just didn't want to walk around the rest of the day holding records as I did that on the Friday and regretted it.
  15. Just listened to this yesterday, great album. Wishing I picked up one of the Psych Fest copies while I was down there though.
  16. I'll be going (also I PM'd you about that Wool LP, not sure if you checked it yet).
  17. I want to pick it up in Toronto as I know some stores must have received copies, but none I've been to yet have found it. When you add $8 for shipping, it becomes on the cusp of too expensive for me.
  18. Anyone know any stores in Toronto carrying the Wool LP? I don't feel like paying for shipping when I can find it locally, but I've had no luck finding it yet.
  19. Not sure if this is the one you are referring to or not. Gown - Head Honcho I'd have to buy it just for the QOTSA connection.
  20. Has anyone who ordered Reckless received any communication outside of their initial order confirmation email?
  21. To get record collectors to buy both sets most likely.
  22. how did it go in at 130? I'm not sure. I was just adding it to my cart to see the shipping quote and compare to ordering with free shipping from Amazon.ca, and when I added it and went to checkout, it was showing as 130. And yes, they will give you the lowest price if the pre-order price drops. Plus you can cancel between now and July 30 when it is scheduled to ship if you find it cheaper. There really isn't a reason not to pre-order right now, as it is currently the best price I've found.
