  4. + Starting a new project with some new friends tonight. Looking forward to wiping the dust off the electric - my copy of Aloha- Home Acres came super warped in the mail yesterday.. bummer + Fridge full of beer. Domestic and import. - Girlfriend pulled the ''I love you but am not in love with you'' card. Sucks because it was pretty much stating the obvious for us both, just sucks to hear it said.
  5. agreed. off-topic....was Sha Sha pressed to vinyl? Yup. A few hundred promotional copies or something like that. A repress would be tight. Lotta good memories with that rekkad
  6. I hated Pearl Jam in the nineties when that whole "Grunge" thing was crappening......I continue to not understand why people dig that sound.....they're all talented musicians, I'd never take that away from them.....I just can't stand it They definitely are talented and the bulk of the bands from the grunge wave were in their own rite. The timing was right and I'm sure it was a blast while it was fresh. Definitely dug Alice In Chains for like 2 weeks when I was 14 but shit... dishing out 150-200 bucks for Pearl Jam 20 while you've probably just turned 20 in 2012? Dunno mang..
  7. Black Eyed Snakes are playing Luce in March...but that might be a bit early for "summer" Bit early.. Haven't seen them in ages! Very few Duluthians I've seen on this board. Welcome! I exalt you, good sir!
  8. A couple years ago I would've bitched about Pavement, but fell in love since then. Never, ever understood the whole HOLY FUCK PEARL JAM revival lately. First off, why now? Because the Almost Famous dude made a movie about them? I can't be the only one on this board who cringes at the sound of Eddie's voice..
  9. Pretty solid track fo sho. Damn.. seeing that sneak peak video really makes me homesick. Finally heading back to Dullyouth this summer. If TbT and something Sparhawk related plays at Luce.. I will shit myself with joy.
  10. Nice. How much did those sell for when you bought it new?
  11. I picked up the Contradictions Collapse & None on orange a few months back. Ended up paying for shipping twice.. first for the initial order and then to FedEx (NB.de decided that was the most affordable..?), PLUS almost double for customs because they wrote up the full amount. Long story short, most dough I've paid for a record in while. Still worth it. Anyhoo.. Obzen is still available for 16 on the US site. 14. Stoked. ''Some collaborations have already been recorded (Nick Cave, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Plastic Ono Band, Neon Indian), while others are still coming together (Bon Iver). And then there are the artists (Ke$ha, Lykke Li, Erykah Badu) whom Coyne is still trying to convince to jump onboard.'' http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/bon-iver-confirmed-for-flaming-lips-covers-album-20120112#ixzz1jHR8KM7F http://www.ssgmusic.com/the-flaming-lips-announce-collaboration-with-bon-iver-for-record-store-day-release/
