If you look at any of the "OMG EXPEDIT FAIL" pictures on the web, you'll notice that they're all set up the wrong way. Here's a pretty good example: The shelves are made up of long pieces that extend the full length of the Expedit and short pieces that are only the size of one cube. Notice how the long pieces are(/were) mounted vertically and the short pieces horizontally? That's the problem. If you look at any of these images, you'll see the same thing.

there's no problem unless you somehow manage to set it up so it's resting on the wrong side.

if the splatter shades are anything like they are on the cover artwork, it's going to look fantastic. even if they're not, blue and orange is a baller color combo.

This is unlikely to top Wye Oak or Sharon Van Etten for me, but I guess you never know. I am pretty enamored with this band.

the Prawn show in Boston is the same night as my friends' band's show, who are my favorite band ever, and who just got back together after 5 years off and this is their second show and there's no way I'm missing that. edit: holy shit, the shows are at neighboring clubs. like, literally, the two venues touch each other. oh man oh man oh man. if the set times work out I can totally do this edit 2: oh my god. yeah if it was enough to cover shipping I'd be maybe vaguely peeved for real. but even still this record is $17.50 shipped and even that's below what I feel like The Average Vinyl Release goes for these days. gotta love topshelf!

they've been allowing web downloads for a while. they break it out into a separate release listing, so you'll have like e.g. "Prawn - Kingfisher - Topshelf Records - Original Release - CD" and "Prawn - Kingfisher - Topshelf Records - Original Release - WEB" or what have you

Frankly, I like Futures better with "Shame" in the middle as on the OG vinyl. I reordered the CD tracks in iTunes to reflect the vinyl track order. "Polaris" right into "Nothingwrong" sounds weird to me.

I did just about exactly the same thing with them about two months ago. I saw a vinyl photo blog that had a Prawn record on it, and I was intrigued by the artwork. Checked out the Ships EP on Bandcamp and it was so good that I bought both records immediately afterwards. I've had Prawn on heavy rotation ever since.
