My "when I discovered I liked Taylor Swift" is waaaaaay less cool. I was in Old Navy waiting for my girl. WANGBT came on in the store, and at that point it wasn't on my radar but it was catchy as hell, so I fired up Shazam on the phone, and... huh. Taylor Swift. so I went home and checked out Red, and, welp, that was that. this must have been last spring sometime? I remember not too long after this happened was when those red ACM promo records dropped.

agreed. my usual response to a band/artist I don't like is "hey, I don't like this band/artist," sometimes followed up with "for the following reasons: [reasons]," and then I carry on with something else.

You know, I haven't been super into these guys for a minute (Closer was the last album I thought was really great) but huge credit for selling this at a reasonable price (and with reasonable shipping as well). I'll probably put in an order for this on payday.

my friend played a show with these guys last week "at" the Lowell Folk Festival (not really part of the festival, but every bar in town has outdoor shows in the street/parking lots after the Festival proper closes down) and I thought they were pretty good. also, the singer/guitar player was playing the same guitar as one of mine, and it sounded so damn good that it made me want to stop playing my other ones.
