  1. Does anyone happen to know/remember how many of the clear limited edition were pressed? I can't find it now.
  2. I know I'm dragging a super-old post on this out, but I had something stupidly similar happen to me. My friend in Chicago wrote and self-published a book, and I bought a copy. He mailed them out, and I excitedly waited for it. I get home from work one day and there's a pink slip in my mailbox with no info on it except my name. No item/tracking number, nothing like that. I go to my post office the next morning, they don't have it. Later that day I happen to run into the package delivery guy on my way to catch the subway. He didn't have it, but he did give me the helpful info that packages for my chunk of the city are handled from another post office. I head over to that post office, they have no idea where it is. I called and visited the post office several times a day for three straight days. I tried to get in touch with the postmaster for that post office but whenever I got close it was always "oh, he JUST stepped out for lunch" (at like 10:30am) or "oh he JUST left for the day" (at like 2:30pm). I fucking gave up. At this point I assume that they destroyed it and just didn't want to own up to it. I called my friend and he shipped me another copy (to my office, because I wasn't about to let the USPS ship another thing to my house). He ended up getting the first one back RTS 5 (FIVE!) months later. I didn't let anything get shipped to my house USPS for about 4 years after that. The one time I slipped up and forgot to get a USPS order sent to work, it was some records. I was all worried about it. I ended up being home when they were delivered, and the package truck guy (who was new) chatted me up for like 10 minutes because he knew it was records and he was into vinyl too.
  3. better than the $20 the Foo Fighters are charging.
  4. is there any info yet about vinyl colors for TAITA? I'm surprised there's been nothing on the Pylon site.
  5. I love Coheed shows and hate 90% of the people at them. It's funny, my friend that I went to the show on Sunday with and I were talking about why it is that the ratio of people wearing the band's shirt they're there to see is so high at Coheed shows. I don't think we came to a conclusion really.
  6. yeah if you're gonna buy anything at all from Braid, you have to buy Frame & Canvas.
  7. Boston show ripped. House of Blues mezzanine is horseshit. There were surprisingly tour copies still available at the mezzanine merch table when I got there nowhere remotely near the front of the line, but once the option was in front of me, I balked at paying a second $40 when I already bought the gray one. Still a pretty great show even though I had to contort my old man body to actually be able to see under the balcony overhang. My back and shoulders and weird muscles in my legs that I don't recognize are all killing me this morning. Who the fuck designed this place anyway? It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't oversell the mezzanine relative to how many people can actually see the stage from there, and weren't such fucking fascists about keeping people on the mezzanine. There was so much empty space on the floor. You could have fit everyone that was on the mezzanine in the empty space on the floor. Do not ever buy mezzanine tickets for the House of Blues. Fuck.
  8. that's what I get for ONLY going 10 pages back. lol
  9. This seems like a pretty solid deal. $72 shipped to the US for all 6 studio albums: Frankie, Octeen, Frame & Canvas, Movie Music 1 & 2, and No Coast. I'm coming up with $112 shipped media mail for all 6 via the Polyvinyl store. http://www.soundsupp.ly/drop-braid.html EDIT: I didn't catch the existing post on this. http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/106049-braid-studio-discography/ feel free to lock/delete this one.
  10. ... randomly inserted? come ON but I'm definitely intruiged on the musical front. 2001 is my favorite movie and the soundtrack as it ended up in the film (specifically the Ligeti pieces) is great IMO. I'm curious what a more custom-tailored composition would sound like. (I guess I could just go find one of the already-existing releases of the North soundtrack.) but yeah, if I buy this, I want that Beyond the Infinite disc. that's one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
  11. I have a black copy from about 5 years ago but the christmasy color scheme almost makes me want to buy this new overpriced press. Not gonna actually do it though.
  12. the Woods disc in the previous picture (with only 5 records) was the one that had the etched side, and this one doesn't have the etched side. not gonna lie though, that All Hands disc is not nearly orange enough for my liking.
