That sucks, I haven't heard of any of those bands or labels but it seems like preordering from them is definitely out of the question. I preorder records regularly and have never had anything flat out not show up.If you haven't already been doing so, pester the labels through email, on Facebook, on tumblr and twitter. Tag the bands in any posts you make. If they are going to rip you off at least make sure people know about it, you may even wind up getting your orders or at least a refund.

Well he got banned for making them look bad but Adam makes them look like saints. Is it shitty? Yes. But does it make sense in a business way? Definitely.

Based on some tumblr questions that Jeff answered it seems likely this isn't just being pressed for the CMJ showcase. I know that doesn't help variant collectors but I personally be happy to own any copy.

HT rarely does preorders for vinyl. I think I've noticed it one time in the past couple years and it was for BNO Trainwreck and according to Travis they only did it at the labels request.

Don't use eBay bidders to defend yourself. I already explained that people aren't mad about how much money you got for it, they are mad that you said "I bought a copy to flip". This isn't a community built around a how to get rich quick selling rare records scheme. As someone else said, everyone knows it happens, but nobody likes it.

People are probably over the "authorized bootleg" thing by now, but I find it funny that one of the biggest preachers of that is all about illegally downloading movies. Chris from NS is always tweeting and instagraming about watching movies that are in between the theaters and DVD/bluray market. I guess Handsome are worthy of getting paid but Guillermo Del Toro isn't.

I'm sure you will be able to get whatever the non limited pressings are during one of their holiday sales for half the price. I'm impatient and love these albums so I paid full price for the limited variants.

I already have this release, just saying that I would rather not support them again in the future, via a direct order, trade or distro.

I heard there are a few things that cut down on the grinding this time around. That's the main thing that has alienated me from Pokemon/many RPGs since I was a kid.

It's that you bought it specifically to flip that people won't like. It's one thing to buy it, realize you don't need/want it, throw it in eBay with a reasonable starting price and just wind up getting a lot and another to buy specifically to sell for profit. Nobody likes flippers around here, so you should probably keep that shit to yourself.

Mine should be there by the time I get back in town in a week. Pretty sure I'm gonna be looking at like 20 packages after 3 weeks out of the country. Pretty stoked!

This thread has started too get to a TL;DR status for me, just wanted to rub it in that I ordered one of the cool variants today. Suckers.

I believe it was a kickstarter to record and then tour on the album without a labels help. He then explained that he licensed the album to Pure Noise to take the burden of production and distribution off his hands so he could focus on said touring.

I think their US merchdirect store will wind up with the blue/white variant as well. I already ordered a blue from SRC though, it will probably wind up being the cheapest option with their $3 pre order shipping.

I chuckled.

They must get a good rate on those black smoke variants.
