  1. Looks like the official bootleg version of this is hitting stores. Saw this on instagram:
  2. Got this in today. Looks really good. Haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. I'm hoping the big response to this will help get Put Up Or Shut Up and Nothing Personal pressed.
  3. I do not agree with his viewpoint at all. Actually reading the article made me feel kind of sorry for him because I'm not sure he even understands what he is saying. His viewpoint is hey it's cool to price gouge. I think making a product and selling it a fair price that fans can have it and labels/bands make a profit is great. Taking advantage of the consumer is just wrong. Even if the consumer has taken advantage of you at times. The old saying is true two wrongs don't make a right. All the great labels have a great consideration for their fans and that fans returns the favor by supporting them and appreciating them. Smaller labels like Topshelf, In The Clouds, and Tiny Engines get a lot of love because they treat their customers with respect and provide a quality product at a fair price. Instead of patting the greedy labels on the back and saying good job he should be commending labels doing it the right way. I'd say Jason Tate's record collection probably consist of 50-100 records he's picked up within the last year or so and he's probably never seen anything priced decently so he doesn't understand how drastically prices have gone up over the last 4-5 years and how quite a few webstores/labels are taking advantage of customers in a very uncool way. He just wants to get in on the vinyl rage by writing an article about it and making himself look like some vinyl now it all.
  4. Yeah. Tons of bands go down that way. For some reason when I was reading through this and thinking about how they just couldn't catch their big break the band Over It popped into my head as another one of those that for some reason never caught on the way they should of. At least they went out on a really strong album. Probably my favorite of theirs.
  5. The recent presses have been 12". Pretty sure all presses of this have been 12". Interpunk has it for 10.25 with pretty fair shipping. I got the second press from interpunk and it was the baby blue variant.
  6. It will probably be the mannequins w/ etched b-side. Not sure if you are looking for any certain variant but the Victory webstore has multiple variants from a previous pressing in stock for 13.98.
  7. Got my copy in from Best Buy today. For 5.99 I can't complain. The record sounds awesome and looks great. No insert.
  8. Cool color choice. Wonder if it will sound any better. I honestly was never sure if this was a vinyl issue or just an issue with the way the album was mastered and mixed. Like someone posted above the CD & mp3's all have the same issues with volume.
  9. Looks cool. Kind of hoping The Ataris - End Is Forever goes up around the same time.
  10. I found a copy of Nodes Of Ranvier's self-titled album (on black vinyl - hand numbered) for $10 at a local record store the other day. I hadn't listened to that album in a long while. Awesome album.
  11. I might have to pick this up. Really like the album. Not the biggest fan of the album artwork.
  12. Funny because he basically said a page back that he does exactly what he doesn't want his kids to do blow all their money on stuff all at once. This might be one of the goofiest threads I've read in a while. I can't even feel sorry for someone so clueless.
  13. I don't keep tabs on them, but sure on occasion I'll check popsike if I'm listening to something kind of rare and see what it's going for or I'll notice it in sale threads here. Just for fun because I'm not a seller. Most of the time things fluctuate in price and there is not set value other than what I originally paid so I don't see a point of checking every record I own once a week or month. Like someone said earlier in the thread I tend to know more about how much things are selling for that I want over what most my actual stuff is worth.
  14. Awesome! I wish you well with your current promotion it's awesome! Just hoping a handful of them stick around long enough for this to happen.
  15. Tim & Al always show up to make them for me and end up dropping a crane on the box or lighting it on fire. I've gotten used to eventually having to call Bob Villa in.
  16. I don't think it would sound better with guitars. That being said a better album might sound better with guitars. On the lyrics I just disagree that it's much better than I've heard on the last couple SA albums.
  17. The shirt isn't free it's factored into the cost. Sidenote: Finally got my shipping notification for the first press. Really excited to get this and have a chance to give it a listen.
