I got the green mint swirl variant of this in today. Hate to bump a thread that hasn't had much activity in a while, but this looks and sounds really good. Anyone on the fence should grab a copy of this (green mint is sold out now) but black is still available. Really digging the custom dust sleeve for this as well.

This song isn't their best. I still think this should be a pretty good album. Or at least I hope it will be. I ordered the split white/gold.

I still can't believe Hot Topic doesn't post some kind of disclaimer on their website stating they will be taking the section down during Hot Cash. Every time Hot Cash rolls around this question gets asked a ton. It's cool you were able to figure it out. I always wonder how many people, that don't use vcboard (or another site that lets people know) have no clue what is going on. I bet customer service answers this question on the phone a crap ton for the entire Hot Cash period.

I looked for this, but didn't see it at any of the places I checked out. I think this is getting a wide release. I'd guess it will pop up on Best Buy and Amazon sometime soon.

I've always thought Zay Zay was Adam R. Fox. I guess it's also possible he may in fact be just some crazed Paramore fan. If not either of those definitely Hayley Williams haha.

Finally grabbed a copy of this from a record store in my area. They had one copy and I couldn't pass it up. Not too bad of a release (pretty standard). I like the remix quite a bit.

I agree Travis seems like a stand-up guy and spends a lot of time on here talking and is a part of this community outside of just talking about HT. I think he does a good job at working with labels and getting some really awesome stuff for HT. If I have a problem with any price I can always go elsewhere (as long as the release is not 100% exclusive). It's not like I'm forced to buy anything. I was really just agreeing that those records do seem to cost more at Hot Topic than nearly anywhere else and that only recently happened. I was curious if labels/distributors really are making them pay more for records. If you feel differently and don't mind paying whatever price they place on the record. I have no beef with that. You definitely bring up some fair points for discussion.

Yeah you are right the price raise on some of the releases that HT carries from labels like you are talking about seems to be higher than most (if not all) other places that carry those releases. This is new because up until recently their prices were along the sames lines as other places. So it's not like the pricing has always been this way. I mean I'm not sure what the defense of it is. I've gotta believe that those labels/distributors are not saying: "Hey let's cut everyone a deal...except Hot Topic". In reality maybe they are...but it seems odd. The truth is if there is a dollar to be made somebody wants to make it. Hot Topic or somewhere on the food chain.

This is a really super weird statement. I see what you're saying. I also see that you might be hurting yourself by pressing it if the demand isn't high enough. I like and always support your label and buy a ton of releases, but if the demand isn't there and you choose to press it. That's your business decision. People are basically saying they don't want to support him or anything that has to do with him. It doesn't matter whether the music is good or not or if he has been paid up front out of your pocket. They don't want him paid in any way at all. Him getting paid anything then a release selling out would be supporting him because more people, or you, would pay him to press future releases. I don't think the people who have a problem with this want him getting paid at all in any way. I still imagine that this will do okay. He still has a pretty solid fan base that has forgiven him. I have nothing against this getting pressed. I may even pick up a copy. I'm on the fence. They look really well done. I think this album is okay. Just thought it was a weird statement.

Just getting a chance to sign in and post about this. I was able to grab the clear/w pink splatter today. Wild the first press sold out so fast and it's awesome for an up-and-coming band. I will say that I also think the way this press was handled helped it go quick. Records in hand, done nicely (screen printed, good variant choices), and a super fair price. The band's music combined with all of the other factors really made this a must have. The band does get a lot of credit, but I'm not overlooking the label for doing a great job with this and being pretty fair. Also how great is it for people that missed the first press to automatically have a crack at the second press and to know they won't have to wait any longer to get it. I know that most labels don't have those presses in the wings waiting (or at least don't release them automatically like this), but man if they did they could capitalize and help eager fans out pretty quick.

Yep. Pretty much. I like the variant choices for this. Not my favorite project of his, but it is okay. The new Slaves song sounds pretty good.

Yeah the prices are outrageous lately. I was going to grab this from HT online but not anymore (I thought maybe at worst this would be 20.50 which would still be pricey). I'll still buy their HT only exclusives, because I have no choice, but with prices like these I think I'm heading somewhere else for anything that is available at other retailers. Shame too because the variant looks cool.

I went ahead and grabbed this on yellow. I have similar complaints about getting tired of the 29.99 prices. I've basically cut all my SRC purchases down to just ever so often on these 29.99 exclusives.

Yeah I feel the same way. Hopefully the Hot Topic price won't be five more dollars than everywhere else...but current trends with their pricing make me think it will. I might be outside the norm but this is my favorite album this band has made.

I grabbed the color version of this today (Just now getting to log into VC). I'm excited about this. Nice shipping price as well. Can't wait to hear it.
