  1. Just watched the making of the record/sleeves video again. Really cool process. Still bummed I missed this.
  2. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Also don't lie to this person there is nothing easy about shipping records through the mail. The first time they get a seam split it will break their heart.
  3. Got my digital download. I really enjoy this. Pretty solid and fun album.
  4. Yeah. The price increase is steep on this one. The half red/half yellow didn't even have an insert. I'm sure that's the case with this one as well. 21.50 for a single LP, single sleeve, no insert is just asking too much (IMO). Hot Topic wants to get paid. I will say that this does look really neat. The way the splatter was done turned out really good.
  5. Yeah I agree. It might be the slightest bit fuzzy looking (when I say slight I'm leaning more towards barely noticeable). When I think of terrible pixelation I think of the way the Finch and Thrice HT exclusive represses look.
  6. I was checking Modern Vinyl info on their podcast and they had a correction about these FOB pressings for a recent podcast they released. It seems like someone needs to correct their correction. This is what they said as a correction to something they said on their podcast: -- From MV: As an example, I talk about Fall Out Boy’s vinyl rights being given away by a major label. I forgot that it’s already happened as those vinyl rights went to Hot Topic (most likely without their knowledge). And actually, we didn’t mention that Hot Topic is another organization which happens to press things without band approval at times. -- How many people just don't understand how Hot Topic works and that it isn't a label and doesn't actually press things they just buy them and carry them in their store? You'd think a vinyl site could at least get the facts straight.
  7. It was definitely one of the better ones I've been to. Recover opened the show and it seemed like more people were there to see them over Armor For Sleep (who closed the show).
  8. I've only seen them once a long time ago when Casper was in the band. It was them Recover and Armor For Sleep. All three bands were really good. I had the chance to talk to Casper and Max. Max did not seem very nice after the show though. Casper was awesome.
  9. Yeah I'd assume it is. They put up their variant of All's Well That Ends Well maybe a couple weeks after Hot Topic's variant went up.
  10. I used to use the force but since Disney bought Star Wars it's went up in price to the point I just can't afford it. It was great though I could actually move my records across galaxies without causing any damage. Now I just use boxes.
  11. Reading through this thread. I think out of all the drama this bums me out the most. It's bummertown I've enjoyed everything you've pressed.
  12. It seems like half of AP's comments = staff members these days. He does have an awful attitude sometimes. It's like he trolls threads to get post counts up. Listening to the AP podcast and hearing some of the stuff he says he seems crazy at times and a little out of touch.
  13. Yeah. Thomas posted some details on page 9. The third press will be 1,500 copies in total (Banquet is carrying 200 already, as y'all can see) and Hot Topic will have a variant as well. There will be two variants available in the BTR webstore.
  14. I bought this. I can understand the band wanting to do it their way, but I mean from the looks of it Ross did a good job with this (I'm guessing it will sound good), offered them a variant, and even was willing to send them free copies after they basically tried to torpedo his pressing. I appreciate the band for writing an awesome album. It sucks things couldn't be worked out on their end. They can always press their version if it works out for them to. I don't mind if they say they don't endorse and won't vouch for this pressing. That's well within their rights. On the other hand I also appreciate ETR for pressing this and finally being able to have a copy. I'd say the band should have probably privately reached out to Ross to see what was up before they started posting a bunch of stuff on twitter. Whoever posted on twitter should have talked to someone in their camp so they could actually have the facts before they went on a rant that had some untrue information included.
  15. It is weird this was edited. I'd say it's probably a case of nobody double checking to make sure everything was correct before it was pressed. I hate to bring it up, because I don't want to start the HT bashing, but honestly it isn't like this is the first time a HT exclusive has had an issue. More than once Hot Topic has carried an exclusive with an issue or two. At least the cover art isn't pixelated. If you've waited on this one forever and are excited I'd go ahead and grab this now and have it to listen to until it gets repressed with the correct version in the future. I'd say this won't be the last pressing of this album, but it might be for a while.
  16. Easy check out process. I always half expect the store to crash or paypal for some reason to mess up on days like these.
  17. I woke up early excited about this. Still can't decide what variant to try and get.
  18. The Enema pressing looks nice. I'm passing on this (I already have one of the old MTS pressings), but I really dig the way the splatter looks with the center labels. Pretty cool.
  19. Everything about these looks really well done from the pictures. I'm gong to try and grab this.
  20. I don't make a lot of impulse purchase but I did recently buy Flashlights I'm Not Alone. A record store I frequent had a used copy super cheap and it turned out to be a pretty good sounding release.
