It works because the word screamo has been bastardized, of course I could just say screamo but that could be misconstrued, with skramz you know exactly what I mean.

I'm more into the ambient/post rocky skramz stuff rather than the in your face heavy stuff, so I think my preference works better on this one, hah.

There's a few different variables there. The lack of Mess and his screams and lyrics (ugh he says some painful things sometimes), plus Zac Garren's guitar (which I think is the most interesting thing about that record), and Kurt's vocals/sense of melody elevate it over everything else this band has done.

Happiness is the only worthwhile DGD record

I love the production on City, fits the vibe of that record perfectly. The messy production works so well and I'm pretty sure that's what they were going for Best Thursday record, followed by No Devolucion
