  1. Well its just my opinion, I am not ranting about it or being a prick, I just don't like the band or album so I thought I would offer it up for sale. My bad taste is someone elses good fortune if they are looking for a copy. I am sure everyone can find a large number of bands I like that they think suck, it's life, people don't all like the same music, geeeeeeez.
  2. I wouldn't have said that if I were you. Why you going to come kick me in the nuts? Hey real nice Google spreadsheet by the way, very impressive and a nice collection.
  3. I am selling a copy of Minus The Bear Planet of Ice on silver metallic vinyl Thought I would offer it here since VC pressed it. I just opened it yesterday and only listened to the first LP, I confirmed what I thought was true before, Minus the Bear sucks. $25 postage paid to USA, PM me if you want it, you can PayPal me and I will ship it out ASAP.
  4. Yeah Rudys makes a killer creamed corn. I know I know, creamed corn? But try it and you will get it. Do Homeslice when it comes to pizza! Best Pizza in Austin.
  5. Don't bother, it looks cheesy IMO. Buy tour posters or promo poster art and get frames from framesbymail.com or target if they are a standard size.
  6. and if your cool enough to read this thread I will mention that Chunklet repressed the Black Lips whirlyball double 7" on clear and black vinyl. Only 400. https://fozzie.missionmedia.net/chunklet/store/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=60 They also had a return and have 7 copies of the Deerhunter, The Carbonas, The Coathangers and The Selmanaires Whirlyball 7". Limited to 100 on green available for $8. wow nice.
  7. WTF, did this get released on Chunklet too? https://fozzie.missionmedia.net/chunklet/store/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_id=55
  8. What label did this limited press get released on? Wichita Recordings or Frenchkiss? Does anyone have it? If so can they give us the label and catalog number? Thanks.
  9. Was the marble pressing a radio promo? The green vinyl was machine numbered and there is one on eBay right no numbered 5,000 something. Not very limited...
  10. Looking at closed eBay auctions I see it selling for normal prices. That $85 may have been an auction after the 1st pressing was released and sold out and before any represses were announced.
  11. I recommend you get a pre-amp off eBay for 30 bucks as it may be hard to find a new receiver with a built in pre-amp these days. That will open up your receiver options a ton. Just my 2 cents.
  12. From the label "The first edition of Pink LPs was 500 copies of pink with 1500 copies in black. It has subsequently been pressed several times again, mostly in pink."
  13. yummmm, texas BBQ is the best. Screw Lonestar, get a pitcher of Firemans #4 and grab a slice at Homeslice!
  14. Yeah there are several sub pop Iron and Wine 7". What one are you talking about? The singles club release?
  15. nope, not Used Kids, I have not been to a brick and morter store for a few months (I hate to say it!). I found all those off 1 person somewhere in the internet tubes.
  16. The Besnard Lakes - Life Rarely Begins With Tungsten Film #2 7" (200, self released) The Besnard Lakes - Would Anyone Come To Visit Me 10" Acid Mothers Temple and The Cosmic Inferno /JE SUIS FRANCE split 12" (350 copies, last one I bought was sealed in industrial plastic and limited to 100 so I can't open it...) Devendra Banhart - White Reggae Troll 12" Comets on Fire / Major Stars - Live in Europe 12" (500 copies, only $12, on ebay is $100 ) OM / SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE 7" (Holy Mountain) RACCOO-OO-OON - Pre-American Lands (not not fun - Elaborately packaged in a hand painted, silk screened, sleeve, garish green and black and brown, purple photocopied insert. Pressed on super thick swirled yellow opaque vinyl, and each disc comes with a different colored rabbit's foot attached to the sleeve! ) RACCOO-OO-OON / SWORD HEAVEN - Bored Fortress single series #6 (only $6) I cleaned up house, went to a record store from my PC and spent 2 hours digging out some long out of print and sold out gems.
  17. I see your from Akron, if you make it down to Columbus you can buy art from this artsit at the Ravari Room bar, his work is pretty cheap, 400 bucks for a huge painting, 150 for a large mixed media. Really good prices for this stuff. http://www.artwanted.com/artist.cfm?artid=10980
  18. www.etsy.com buy directly from the artist, unique pieces, a ton of stuff.
  19. These are fun, I'll play too, my music taste seems to differ largely with this crowd. No Order at all. White Stripes - Elephant Black Angels - Passover Dead Meadow - Howl From The Hills Pink Floyd - Meddle Secret Machines - Now Here is Nowhere The Lindsey - Dragged Out Of Montreal - The Sunlandic Twins The Warlocks - Phoenix Album The Velvet Underground - & Nico The Besnard Lakes - Are The Dark Horse I just base it on what I reach for the most and what never leaves the "good stuff" section in the collection.
  20. an interesting collection, a few good ones. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZandrew_mackie
  21. I spoke with Suzy and Patrick from Bomp!, here are the numbers. > 1st album : > - 500 black + 500 red + 500 pink > > 2nd album : > - 500 black + 500 red + 500 blue
  22. DO NOT DO THAT! Your putting a ton of weight on the needle and its going to be riding very heavy in the grooves. This will wear out your records really fast. Take a good close look at the record in some good light and focus on the area that skips. If the record is damaged you will see probably see a mark. Also double check the needle and make sure no fuzz bunny is riding on it.
  23. I am not 100% sure (this is like 1995) but I think the first records I bought were a mail order to Lookout when I was in 7th grade, I worked at this age too. I know one of them was a Operation Ivy 7". In the store is was definitely a Mr T. Experience 7", from Perry Rock Pile near Cleveland.
