  1. Do you have Kings Of Leon - Youth and Young Manhood - 2x10" release. Do you want the Killers - Hot Fuss limited edition blue vinyl? Then PM me or reply cause we need to trade each other, both sell for about 50 on the eBay. Edit - or pick some of the punk records you want off my collection list in the sig, I can part with the old punk rock.

  3. IRON AND WINE "The shepherd's dog" LP There is a Euro only release of this LP and its 180 gram, limited to 500, transgressive records
  4. the 2 albums they release on Bomp! all come in a ltd color, probably 1,000. 1 album on In The Red, LP but no color that I know of, you can still purchase it from the label $11. "Los Valientes Del Mundo Nuevo" was release on 12" LP via the bands own label, http://www.dieslaughterhausrecords.com/ Its only 10 bucks. No idea on color. You can also pick up the new one on wax from the bands label as well. Don't forget about the live at WFMU LP. http://www.dustymedical.com/BBR-01.html 500 copies, sold out! First 50 spray painted by the band.
  5. The White Stripes - De Stijl (Sealed Black Vinyl) What label is this release? XL/V2 or Sympathy For The Record Industry? I would be interested in the latter.
  6. That sounds pretty fair to me. I was worried that it would get to be around $95 ppd, which is like, $8 a record, after shipping. But $75 total sounds good. 75 PPD for a full year is not too bad, I would pay it if I enjoyed any of the bands. I would also be willing to pay more if the pressings were good. The last club I joined was 30 for 6 months but the vinyl it self was too thin and cheap feeling.
  7. They pressed 3,000 of um but they still go for $$$$$$$.
  8. I have been piecing it since each release was released. Started in 99. I didn't have a ton of money back then so I passed on the first single for 40 bucks (now 120+), the second single for 30 or 40(now 200), it takes 2 7" for 10 (now 60). WHOOPS! Most are direct from the labels on release but many are ebay too. Also forgot to include the 10" colored bootleg and that orchestra based release from last year.
  9. I have 2 of the 3 mislabeled conquest 7"s still sealed if you want them. No thanks, all 3 in the picture are the sealed mislabeled ones. I guess I gotta get the correctly labeled ones, lol.

  11. When to replace your needle will depend on a few things. mainly the type of needle. Diamond needles will last a lot longer then any other needle. Also depends on how you have your player set up. If you let the arms rear counter weight (if your player has counterweights) sit forward more (to help with skips or bouncy floors) then your needle is going to be pushing into the groove harder and will wear faster. I just replaced my needle for the first time since I got my current player. Its been 7 years and I do not think the last owner replaced it at all, it was looking very short. I got a new one for 28 dollars at the local shop and I can hear a noticeable increase in the sound quality. So if it has been a few years and you don't mind spending the money on it, do it.
  12. babel fish is your friend. http://babelfish.altavista.com/ You can translate the page or any text you input. You can even change what you need to tell to to German.
  13. The White Stripes - a few Jack White related items as well...still short some 7" and a few LPs...plus it never stops coming out.... Sorry if the big pics made everything f-ed up....
  14. Might want to re-read the press release I posted to start this thread. While it's not subscription-based, it is indeed being billed as a series by the label. thats why i put it in quotes, they are calling it that but there is no link between the releases, just the 7"s they are putting out this year. Good marketing, people will probably buy all of them if they want 1 or 2 because they think its a 2008 series and they need all of them.
  15. This is not a "series" or subscription, this is just the plans for 2008 and what singles they are releasing. I will be picking up the School of Seven Bells single, they have released some nice vinyl so far, all limited, good stuff.
  16. First off, Candy Cane Children is a great song, if you have never heard it it is wonderful and worth buying the record for. The b-side is just Meg reading stories. There are 2 pressings of the Merry Christmas album, both released in 2002. One is on White, this is the first pressing on V2, then one on Black from XL. The first pressing was actually a bigger pressing, can't recall the numbers 100% but the black pressing is the "rarer" of the 2. The white pressing still goes for higher. They both tend to go for about 40 dollars. This single used to go for about 10 in 03 and 04 and has slowly been increasing with some going for as much as 50 to 60. Fell In Love with a Girl was also released in 02, only 1 release and 1 pressing on XL. This single should cost you about 10 to 15 no more. So yes Merry Christmas for 20 is a good deal, Fell In Love, not a good deal for 20.
  17. I get 7"s from labels like this all the time, it works just fine, never had a problem.
  18. If I am at home chances are good its the turntable spinning and not the cd player. I save cds for the car, mp3s for work. I probably spend 1 hour listening to mp3s at home, the other 10 to 20 hours of music when at home comes from the records.
  19. Yeah, it's a shame mine came with the 3 sides sliced open on both records. The rice paper also seems to be falling apart. I wish I could get replacements but I haven't seen black sleeves like that for sale anywhere. Contact Waste.co.uk, you paid enough for them, they will send out replacements if you voice your concern. They gave me 2 copies of the second LP by mistake and I just emailed them and without any questions they just said, ok we will ship the missing one out, sorry.
  20. Columbus Discount Records http://www.columbusdiscountrecords.com/ Shake Your Ass http://www.syarecords.it/
  21. What are you favorite labels when it comes to vinyl only releases. I will go with Columbus Discount Records (CDR) http://www.columbusdiscountrecords.com/ Shake Your Ass http://www.syarecords.it/ Just looking to learn more labels.
  22. Yes, why not? Unless you think its a good idea for the government to control prices on records, or everything!
  23. Secret Machines - September 00, blue vinyl 12" for $15 bucks of ebay about a year ago, what a deal! Took me over 2 years to get one. Its been OOP print for a few years, think this was limited to 500. We have a $3 bin of cd's at Used Kids records, I find lots of good CD's there for 3 bucks, found the same Secret Machines release on cd, with the colored inserts and everything for 3 bucks. Also found my entire colelction of Flaming Lips and Beatles albums in this section.
