  1. I think same on Tennis System for me too but I'm going to give it a break and revisit. I'll DM you @mrewest re: GFRC copy I just got in.
  2. Thank you again, VC. Grabbed the Gold 2xLP.
  3. Last year Holy Fawn hijacked my musical brain. I enjoyed all my other albums, but had to listen to them almost daily. This year it has been Brutus. While not postrock/metal per se, their guitarist incorporates postrock style of tremolo picking or heavy atmospheric sounds into most of their tracks - so I thought OK to post here for recommendation. He can do mathy stuff really well (track March from Burst, 2017) and even punk type riffage as well. 'Nest' is going to be AOTY for me, even with great releases from PSOTY, WLTS, Alcest, and even going to win over Be Forest's ethereal dreamgaze addiction, Knocturne. Plus, there's Whirr that just came out and I have not listened yet, Lacing just out last night, and who knows what else before year's end. Cloudkicker has seemed to have been pushed in the background, and I'm leaving out others like Tennis System, etc.
  4. Lacing ^^^ is so good, just finished listening.
  5. After Nuclear Blast cancelled my box set, they ended up refunding everything and sent the cassette out which I got today. Ordered vinyl from Rough Trade, no shipping yet Two times through and Neige has delivered again. I hope they tour this in the US - I will drive this time.
  6. I think they are near @abovetheearth and he told me about them before the LP. New track is great.
  7. 5th time seeing them, first time they've come to RVA! (live in Hampton Roads area). They usually do DC and RDU area, skipping RVA, so we always go the 3 hrs to RDU. It's so much easier to get in and out. especially since always a week night and I have to work the next day. Easily top 5, maybe top 3, live acts for me, lifetime - and I'm ancient. They don't usually bring a ton of merch - we'll see Wed if any prints. Enter>Station>Geneva>Empros (309 supplanted Carpe as the opener during this tour and was a mind-blowing experience)> Memorial=Guidance=Blood Year Blood Year will likely rise after seeing them Wednesday. Grabbing some Veil before the show if any left from can release day tomorrow.
  8. I’m in GFRC and no emails or anything on social media about this. ordered 11:35 am and got a 919...
  9. I’ll echo the thank you’s. Really enjoyed the vocals. If Neige is digging it, that’s enough endorsement enough to give them a serious listen.
  10. Got a CS too (-: TAC, Rosetta and GFE are the only bands I’m complete or almost including TPS. Sold variants off everything else. I forget how many variants of Two Convos I have now? I have December’s Tragic Drive CD sealed
  11. If you missed the /300 Transparent Red, they have some back in stock. One of those "notify me when back in stock" I've probably checked 5 or 6 times after sold out, and this is the first time ever getting a notification.
  12. Great to see you posting again, Jonathan. Hoping this grows on me as I went for the /100 Tricolor
  13. Closest would be Philly (6-7 hrs each way). if they were opening for Russian Circles, Rosetta and Chelsea Wolfe (lol), I could see a major roadtrip. That Levitation Fest line up is just all kinds of sickness, but Austin is 24 hr drive. Just spent $75 on the 2 Brutus and the new DIIV. Shipping was $7.50 for all 3, so not too bad for HM. Fingers crossed for good packaging.
  14. I'm hooked, just need to figure out how much $ to spend. Probably going the HM route for the first two and pick up the DIIV as well. I won't miss the 7" since I'm too lazy to spin many 7's anymore, but I love those 2 tracks on their Youtube channel (Horde and Bearclaws).
  15. Vocals for about 5 seconds sounded like Nothing, but then evaporated (fine with that) Definitely hear the TW influence on a 2 or 3 tracks. I'm enjoying the heavier direction as well. First 2 album are nice 'driving/road trip' listens. Still like Oshin > ITIA.
  16. 2 for 2 so far, I have everything else from them, just need to pull the trigger.
  17. Appreciate the reviews from you guys who went to Post Fest, and glad that PSOTY shirt is getting some good wear @Gumbo72203 I love my light grey version.
  18. Yes, very stoked for this! Thanks OP - subscribing to this thread since I can only check social media once a day during the work week, no time for twitter anymore, just iG
  19. Got my vinyl from juno yesterday, along with Rev Rev Rev today - UK shipments without incident!! New jams for the weekend - pyschgaze and postmetal.
