axisrecapital
Barrett Martin has a PO link on his website to buy the RSD release of Screaming Trees - Last Words directly from Sunyata Records for the US. This is only a UK release for RSD at the moment. http://barrettmartin.com/index.php?page=sunyata-records lexicondevil

kannibal
Lol. $10 shipping and handling. I'll never understand why labels and other mail order just don't do PPD pricing. You don't get to the register of your store only to have an extra $10 dollars added for shipping and handling by the store. Still I grabbed it. Hope it's a nice pressing. Speedpig
Really excited about this one. The trees are my all time favorite band. So many good records...

Yeah, the $10 shipping charge may scare off some people. Very excited for this though, hopefully it ships priority.
lexicondevil
Thanks, Axis. This is the only thing that looked remotely interesting for RSD. The $10 shipping sucks, but better than standing in line all morning if they decide to release it for US RSD. Very worth it.
morfiend
This was #1 on my list followed by the True Widow - s/t reissue. I wonder why the band doesn't even bother promoting this US order link on facebook.
burntwolf
is this the stuff they ditched before doing dust? i love sweet oblivion but not really anything else...
morfiend
All the tracks are streaming on youtube if you wanna preview them yourself. I wouldn't recommend this release to the casual fan, just die hards who want every scrap the band has to offer.
faithnolife
Wasn't enough of a fan of these recordings to pay $30 for the LP unfortunately. If I can ever find it for under $20 shipped I might bite.
axisrecapital
I agree...not a casual fan release to buy, but a die hard thing...or if you are just a huge Lanegan fan. This is the last set of recordings the band did, but it never saw the light of day because, sadly, there was no record contract to be found for the Screaming Trees! Great music, but nothing like Sweet Oblivion or Dust. A very mellow and comfortable sound on this last record.
morfiend
This was posted on the band's facebook today - Hey Folks, Barrett Martin here. This is my favorite part about owning a record label - when the music arrives in large boxes. Then the task of shipping begins, which although not exactly fun, has its own rewards when you know its going directly to people who love the music. So here it is, Screaming Trees "Last Words: The Final Recordings" on red clear vinyl, with original artwork by renowned American artist Erin Currier. Notice the "Made In USA" stamp on the box (I really love that part). It'll be available in the UK, Europe, and the other foreign territories on Record Store Day, April 19th. Unfortunately in the USA, our distributor missed the RSD deadline, but American addressees can buy it directly through my label, Sunyata Records, on the link below this post. You can buy the vinyl now, and we'll start mailing them out in the 2nd week of April, to coincide with RSD. I personally want to thank everyone who actually goes out and buys the CDs, Vinyl, and Downloads from the bands they love. Because that is exactly how we can afford to do this very thing - making home grown American music, manufactured right here in the USA. Thank you, Barretthttp://sunyatarecords.com/
lexicondevil
Are the non-US ones on red vinyl?
shifres
This will be available for the Euros on April 26th: http://www.banquetrecords.com/RSD14ST Limited edition Record Store Day clear red LP
oojavaguru
This will be available for the Euros on April 26th: http://www.banquetrecords.com/RSD14ST That is the standard date that Banquet uses for all RSD releases . However, if they sell out of their stock in-store, then nothing will be made available online. From their website: Items will be available in the shop on Saturday 19th April RSD releases are first come, first served and we're not allowed to reserve anything for anyone. Stock left over after RSD will be on sale in the shop for the following week, before it goes on sale online. Online sales for Record Store Day 2014 products are due to begin on Saturday 26th April. Our site will automatically put items on sale at 12:00:01am. You can use the 'notify me' feature on any item to receive an email when it's made available online. Stock will be coming in and going out frequently. Because the releases we have left go on sale online a week later, items ordered online cannot be posted before Monday 28th April. Prices are subject to change as we get more info, but will be correct at the time they go on sale online. For queries regarding RSD releases please DO NOT email but tweet us @banquetrsdfeed for up to date news on the releases we've got / are getting. As we're likely to receive 1000+ orders in the first night and more thereafter, your order will inevitably take considerably longer than usual to reach you. We'll get everything out as quickly as possible, but your patience is massively appreciated.
morfiend
Got a shipping confirmation today. Stoked to finally spin this on vinyl!
nihac
Including shipping costs to Germany, total is only 3 Euros more when ordering from the US compared to ordering from the UK. Didn't want to take the risk of missing this, so I ordered it. Super excited this is happening!
shifres
$20 record and $20 shipping... I'll take my chances with Banquet, I'm sure that if it didn't sold out by now in the U.S I'll be able to pick it up along the road.

morfiend
So this just arrived. For those curious, the LP was shipped in a sturdy cardboard envelope instead of a record mailer with no padding inside. Nothing was damaged and it was shipped media mail. Listening now. morfiend
Sounds good to my ears, I'm no audiophile though. I'll leave it to someone else to complain about whether or not this was sourced from the original tapes or the CD
Speedpig
I did read somewhere that it was digitally sourced, even though Barrett has stated in the past that the album was recorded with an all-analogue setup. Oh well, whatever, as long as it sounds ok! Looking forward to getting mine.
