dreamover
So I got tickets to the Chicago dates. Holy crap I did not expect soooo many bands that I would love. Prob a good 20+ I'm flying from FL. It's my first time going, any tips from the vets out there (do's and dont's). I could really use some info. I've been to festivals ie Warped Tour. But this is on some next level stuff. Any transportation advise? or Any explanation on how things are setup, stages and merch? I really want to buy a Riot Fest shirt with all the bands. Do they change merch everyday? any traditions that happen every year? Any info would be much appreciated =) Really hoping Brand New is a surprise band for Chicago. do you have a place to stay? where? are you going with people? will you have a car? as far as the schedule and map... you'll have to wait until closer to the fest. last year they posted it online but you had to print out your own your check on your phone. JoseReyes87
No yah, Im staying in the suburbs with some family. Same with transportation. Honestly as of now I'm rocking the festival solo... I am trying to convince two other friends. They would love to go but $$$ is an issue. So pretty much make your own schedule on your phone ha

smailtronic
Last year they had the schedule printed on giant signs near the entrances, but yeah, it's way easier to keep it in your pocket/phone.

That good! Stupid question, I know that Riot Fest icon and tag is that it's a carnival. Do they actually have a carnival tent setup ahha
JoseReyes87
which suburb are you staying in? Good question. All I know is that it's 45 minutes away. Never been to Chicago, just relying on my family's knowledge.

JoseReyes87
Heads up parking blows around there during the festival. I figured. Might just park a few blocks away and then walk or take a bus. Thanks though!

seamoney
Heads up parking blows around there during the festival. Curious about this because last year my friends and I had no issue parking on the street for free like two blocks away all three days. Seemed like everyone else had an easy time parking too. Oh no worries dude. My fam actually grew up around Humboldt Park, even though they live out of the city now, and know their way around there very well. And I actually convinced my cousins to go. They will be my navigators. 'preciate it though!

dreamover
Last question, does the festival allow camel packs, wanted to bring one obv carry water and my stuff. yeah, they should allow them. but that time of year, the weather is pretty nice. you're not gonna be that thirsty. if you bring a bottle and fill it a couple times, you'll be good. One Hundred Fifty-Two
Friday I didn't get there until 8 and had to park over half a mile away. Saturday took a cab. Sunday got there at 11am and parked close. I guess if you get there early you are fine, but if you are late it really fills up
turnstiles
I parked in the park all three days last year and never had more than a ten minute walk.
jhook
I like how Cock Sparrer went from not playing the U.S. for like 12 years to playing the U.S. multiple times a year at fests.
