Probably a hopeless attempt but is the guy who bought the BSF Tests on ebay here?

This is odd. I know.

So the story: Magic Bullet auctioned two BSF and one I Am Heresy Test presses this week. Of course I wanted to bid as I have a nearly complete BSF collection and love both bands a lot. So those went out in the middle of night for me but I sat down at 2 o'clock in the morning to bid. 10 minutes before the auctions ended I tried to login but failed because - as I know now - my brother changed the password without telling me because of that security leak some weeks ago. He wasn't anywhere nearby and recovery wasn't possible as well since I don't have his password for the email account. Long telling short story I missed out on all three. They went for 15$ and 26$ each. I was so damn mad.

Well now my hope is to find whoever bought them, hope that he was just chasing for some cheap records and doesn't connect much to them and try to buy them from him or her for a reasonable price.

I know it was dumb from me not to check all that stuff before and yes, this is probably a long shot and I wouldn't try this if I knew for sure that MB will put up new tests soon or in any foreseeable future but the fact is I don't know and can't know since MB never (!) answers any emails from people who want just plain information. I emailed them several times because I wanted to ask for details on pressing numbers but they never got back at me. So they didn't when I asked if there were more copies which they would like to sell at any time.

I hope someone can help me out in some way!

I know your pain all too well. but the weird thing is, a few years ago, brent used to be very good about answering questions and helping out with item requests (or at least telling you he couldn't help you when he couldn't). no idea what happened or why he completely changed. it sucks.

Brent's moving the shipping operation from VA (3 hrs away from me) to California. The decision to move from Virginia to California may explain the change. He still answers my email (only send a couple per year), but I learned from someone to not ask pressing # questions.

To the OP, esnipe has never failed me in > 8 years.  A bad thunderstorm cost me a major item when I was manually sniping in 2005. That pain never leaves. :(

Well I won't ask for the # again. Only tried one time last year and accepted it when I heard that even the head of a cooperating label (end hits) failed with this question.

Well yes I will definitely go with these in the future :( even though the password would still have been changed and the sniping service would maybe have had the same problem like I did.

I dont understand why people sit on a computer and bid

If I see an item I want and decide the max I want to pay for it is $$.$$ I put that down about a few hours before it ends and boom..If i win, I win..If i dont than it was outside of what I was willing to pay

Because people (me included) impulse buy. I always go a few dollar over my set limit if I can see the time going down. If you bid too late for anyone to outbid you then you have more chance of winning surely?

The idea is to prevent people from counter bidding. Sure, you can throw down a max bid early on, but sniping gives you the chance to win an item for the lowest possible amount.
