Out of Breath Records
What kind of paper do you use for india ink? I've only used it to tattoo, and it's a wonderful black and I wanted to start painting with it as well.

deletedunknown
I've been thinking about making a thread like this, especially after seeing cryprvs' stuff. I need to upgrade to a real website, but I'm using tumblr for now. Very basic: http://dustindonovan.tumblr.com/ The latest is a set of prints that are kinda nsfw, so I'll spoiler it kamalatapes
Out of Breath Records
I took an art class once when I was 8 years old. I decided to start drawing again. That last one is based on my favorite place- Arch Rock in Pfeiffer Beach. Purple sand! Photo here for comparison: During a few days of the year, the sun sets directly in between the key hole, and it is probably one of the most majestic things I have ever witnessed. brianmorgante, kamalatapes and THE_James_Champ
billya
Justice, I really dig the first and third pictures there. Nice work!
deletedunknown
There's a lot of great simplification to those, Justice. Saying what you need with brevity. Some people need years of training to bring simplicity back into their work, so that's awesome. kamalatapes

tarzioo_
It's bloody so I'll hide it but it's not drawn very well so it's not that jarring
deletedunknown
I like it. Makes me think of the aesthetic of something like Superjail in a way.
brianmorgante
I just do crappy design work for a living. Sometimes I get to do fun stuff. Sometimes I bang my head against the wall. That's the freelance life, though. www.facebook.com/fleshandbonedesign
deletedunknown
Been working on a sketch series, but had to take a break due to business. I've been back to it again lately. Black Phillip and Fairmount

deletedunknown
I hVe no idea what that is Part of the point haha. I call them abominations. I put down an ink wash then find random messes of things in them. Compositionally and conceptually, I'm mainly just focusing on silhouette creation, mark making, and finding loose connections in subject matter at the moment between sketches I make. Since this is the fifth, I'll soon get into more value control and color palette selection. Value will really help give more sense to the mess, but I'm also working on distortion of figure, so things will never really look academic. I want to get back to some traditional figure drawing soon, though.
deletedunknown
Finished old dude sketch from my avatar. Playing with more color. Pretty sloppy. Am I really the only one here who wants to obnoxiously self promote? Not sure how I'd feel about that. Fairmount

thebiglebowski
You should move on from wrestling. I think you've mastered that. Try a Fenway scene or something. Unless you are making some bank them.
thebiglebowski
I mean that politely too. Seems like too much talent to do variations of the same thing over and over.
Guest
I've been kicking around a lot of ideas. I think what I really need to do is iconic scenes in wrestling. But I've also considered doing the same with television shows. Either way, I need to do anything right now, because I've been reeeeal lazy
