iron666monkey
As was previously rumored, the Melvins will in fact be releasing a new album titled “Hold It In“. That effort will arrive in stores on October 14th through Ipecac Recordings to be exact and will indeed feature Paul Leary and JD Pinkus of Butthole Surfers fame in the lineup alongside Buzz “King Buzzo” Osborne and Dale Crover. Osborne said of the release: "Hold It In is a refreshing piece of fiction in a boring world of fact and bullshit. Paul is one of the best guitar players I have ever heard and Pinkus has an outside the box type of approach to both guitar and bass that you just have to let it ride. I can’t believe this actually happened. I’m thrilled.” That lineup are due to mount the following tour in support of the album: 10/15 Sacramento, CA – Assembly 10/17 Bellingham, WA – Wild Buffalo House of Music 10/18 Seattle, WA – The Showbox 10/19 Portland, OR – Roseland Theater 10/21 San Francisco, CA – Great American Music Hall 10/22 San Luis Obispo, CA – SLO Brewing 10/23 Los Angeles, CA – The Troubadour 10/24 San Diego, CA – The Casbah 10/25 Phoenix, AZ – The Crescent Ballroom 10/26 Albuquerque, NM – The Launchpad 10/28 Dallas, TX – Trees 10/29 Austin, TX – Mohawk 10/30 Houston, TX – Warehouse Live – Studio 10/31 New Orleans, LA – Voodoo Fest 11/01 Pensacola, FL – Vinyl Music Hall 11/02 Gainesville, FL – The Wooly 11/03 Jacksonville, FL – Jack Rabbit’s 11/04 Orlando, FL – The Social 11/05 Ft. DigitalZombie
According to the SRC email I got back in October, this should have gone out Dec. 16, but my order status page is showing "awaiting fulfillment".
whoshotthefrog
I ordered my copy this morning from All That Is Heavy. http://www.allthatisheavy.com/info.asp?item_num=ATH-10474
DigitalZombie
I'm also reading some reviews (Amazon, Discogs) that say the LP is missing one or two tracks from the album. Can anyone confirm?
youspinmeround
Correct. I don't recall. I think the last song (10 mins or so) Amp reptile put out that song on a release a few months ago

niblips
What songs are missing? Eyes on You and House of Gasoline are on the CD and not on the vinyl according to the song listings i've seen... CD has 12 LP has 10. Are you now saying the LP only contains 8 tracks? I purposefully didn't pursue that 10" because those songs were advertised as being on the full length. Lame. Speaking of lame, I got mine yesterday in the mail. Does anyone else think the sound quality kinda sucks?

emacs
I just had my copy delivered today, honestly sounds like a badly compressed MP3. The packaging is nice, at least. :/
