This is common practice amongst most larger labels and retailers. common practice among bands like Smashing Pumpkins but not for a band that has built their base at indie-stores and through word of mouth. it's a cash grab and it's REALLY unfortunate to see. It's common amongst the labels, not the bands, which is why I bolded my original message to state it again. Also, the band has benefited from word of mouth and indie stores, but there's been huge marketing pushes on each of the bands releases since FHTI. They are and will most likely continue to be one of my favorite bands, but it's been a long time since they were the band I saw at the Grog Shop in the late 90's.
