necroking
Damn, I can only imagine how bad those customs charges are going to be..only bought the exclusives from data disc. Got the regulars from mondo. Never paid customs charges on anything I buy from Europe, Japan, etc.
necroking
Btw did anybody see any pressing info on these? I assume there's a ton of black just curious about the 2 variants.

Desk Cop
What a pleasant purchasing experience with the emailed password. Sure beats F5ing a crashed website all day for absolutely nothing!
Le Gogh
Definitely! So much smoother. Just got my order in. Went for both releases in the end. Will be starting Shenmue in the next week or so, and I'll only regret it if I don't pick up a copy of this. Went for both Limited Editions because I'm a sucker! Klown78
Didn't need to use the emailed password, just went straight through. Feel like I've done something wrong. Anyway, ordered the limited versions. Can't wait for these. Wonder what the next release is, the placeholder is up for it.
toomanyrecords
I feel like I may regret not getting these because I've been gaming all my life... but I don't know how practically I'd listen to SoR even though it's pretty sweet, and Shenmue sounds amazing from what I just heard on youtube, but that was one dreamcast game I didn't actually play. I don't want to miss these and regret it, I just can't really justify buying it right now.
TFP
I ordered the Data Disc webstore exclusives yesterday, but I had to go back and order the other two Shenmue variants from Mondo just now. I would like to get the other two SOR but I will wait.
NinjaCool
I got a code in an email from Data Disc to enter their website early and ordered 1 copy each of the SOR and Shenmue LE editions
freedumb
The exclusive versions are available even if you didn't get an emailed code.
natenomm
From their FAQ Why don't you release picture discs? Because records are for listening to. I like these guys.
Le Gogh
The exclusive versions are available even if you didn't get an emailed code. I'm certain they said something about getting some sort of exclusive extra if you were one of the first to buy, i.e. via the passwords. Disclaimer: I may have entirely made that up, I cant remember where I saw it!

Disclaimer: I may have entirely made that up, I cant remember where I saw it! Nope, the password was just their way of lightening server load so it's not a total pain in the dick to check out. It worked great, I thought.
natenomm
So these guys are pretty much Bizarro Spacelab 9, right?
tetsuodaironman
The exclusive versions are available even if you didn't get an emailed code. Thanks for the head's up. Shenmue is one of my favorite games of all time, so I went with the Data Discs "color-in-color". It was $42 shipped whereas Mondo's translucent blue was $36.81 shipped. Spending the extra $5 was a no-brainer. I am glad the splatter SoR was sold out because I really don't need to be spending $80 on records I won't get til 4 months from now! PRINCE
Both exclusives are now showing as sold out on their site, went quicker than they thought I'm guessing..

Yeah someone had mentioned it in the old Video Games thread. Think I'll try and grab one if I can, no idea when its up for pre order though... Le Gogh
Got my copies through yesterday. Very impressed with them. They look and sounds great! Probably some of the most well presented in my collection so far. Just a shame there's no gatefold... That said, they've really thought about the SoR track listing. At the end of side one it plays the "Stage Complete" jingle, and then at the end of side 2 it plays the "Game Over" jingle. Really nice little touches. I didn't read the track listing tbh so they were a nice surprise... tetsuodaironman

I will try and buy every release they do regardless of the game, as they're some of the best looking records in my collection.
