fugazi
Summertime '06 is the debut studio double album by American rapper Vince Staples; it was released on June 30, 2015, by Def Jam Recordings and ARTium Recordings. Beats To Pimp A Butterfly for me. Vinyl should be out soonish. Check it out!
pizza face
Never order from newonvinyl but it's available for pre-order http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/vince-staples-summertime-06.html
booms528
Good album, but it didn't blow me away... It's too long and I got a little bored. I still need to listen to it more, and liked it enough that I'll probably grab the record once it comes out. 74R
cwhitmuzik
This is the best hip hop record of the year.

Would have been a lot better had they narrowed it down to 10-12 tracks. Bluff Heights bitches!
ronb8s
A really strong album, I've been listening to it a lot. It doesn't bode well that they seem to be squeezing the whole thing onto a single LP, though (the CD version is 59 minutes long).

Probably second for me, I just really like that new Czarface.
cwhitmuzik
Honestly it feels really concise. 20 short tracks, most of which are good. Beats the sprawl of TPAB, and they cover similar themes. This is just far more listenable to me which puts this slightly over TPAB for me.

Not that great either but at least a double LP: http://www.vinyl-digital.com/Hip-Hop-Rap/Summertime-06.html
Japes
Why the hell are they trying to fit 10 songs on one side of vinyl?
pizza face
It's probably a mistake. That's probably what's all on disc one
cwhitmuzik
http://www.myplaydirect.com/vince-staples jeez. this sucks. 25 for just half the record for 40 (before shipping) for both
ronb8s
Ugh, comes to $60 CDN for the 2LP with shipping.
youngwonton
$43.55 after shipping in the U.S. That's rough.

Wow, that's stupid.
pizza face
Yeah, I mean he did say it's a double LP when it was released. Didn't think he would actually release them both separately. Don't you guys see the the buttercream edition with both LPs sold complete. Anyway, bullmoose has these listed. Both single LPs and complete. http://www.bullmoose.com/p/21190827$38 http://www.bullmoose.com/p/21208463/vince-staples-summertime-06-expl$23 http://www.bullmoose.com/p/21208464/vince-staples-summertime-06-expl$23 No information listed on their website but I'm assuming its the same as the OP link. What's the pressing information on the buttercream edition?? Also the reason why I fuck with bullmoose is because you accumulate points with every purchase that you can use to get something half off. I don't really know many places that offer this.
azvd
I'm loving this album. It will be tough to ignore it and let it go.

stampface
"He" had nothing to do with the pricing. I shouldn't have said 'he', sorry, but I was talking about the discs being split up like that in the first place. Pricing isn't surprising in this day & age. azvd
I bit the bullet and ended up ordering both records. I have yet to listen to them, so no word about the sound quality yet. Here's the deal: don't buy it. $25 for a regular LP with a thin, flimsy packaging. Yeah, I could smell greed but expected, at least, a heavy cardboard to at least justify a bit of this "deluxe" pricing. In the end, my fault and won't go on complaining but at least must recommend people to avoid supporting this kind of trick.

The deluxe 2xLP version with colored vinyl and lenticular cover is worth the inflated $38 or so it's going for, IMO. Kinda strange that the regular version is split up into two separate LPs. Andrew_VB
yeah i got the deluxe for around $30 shipped from amoeba when they were doing one of the 15% or 20% off things. made it worth it for me. not sure why anyone would have bought the two individual records instead.
