bruno66
Now I know they're not everyone's particular cup of tea but jeezo £180 for the deluxe vinyl box (before postage too) is that not just a wee bit on the pricey side?

Vega
The website lists that the new album has 34 songs on it hahaha The last couple records of them were pretty meh after octavarium in my opinion, so i don't really have any expectations
markok
Im sure it wont sell out for years, all the previous Roadrunner versions havent, I think.
GalacticMelt
It's supposed to be a concept album from what I hear, taking place in a dystopian future like a rock opera sci-fi musical.
GalacticMelt
New track here: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/inside-dream-theaters-wildly-ambitious-new-concept-lp-20151203

The Vool
Haven't listened to any DT after spinning their BS record Octavarium When I bought it on release day...
MayCauseDeath
and there are an astounding limited amount of 8,000 pressed! I better hurry up and get one before they sell out....................... they removed the number but it was 8,000 if i am not mistaken,
seku
Hmm, I haven't listened to DT since 'Metropolis p.2" (which I found brillant at the moment of being released), but the new track is just.. awful? Maybe years changed me, but this is next to unlistenable. I need to get back to Metropolis and check whether it still works for me. As for the bundle - ridiculous. The Vool
yeah, it's just sad to see how these brilliant musicians waste their talent...
markok
yeah, it's just sad to see how these brilliant musicians waste their talent... What do you mean by this exactly? Read the Rolling Stone article above, they are clearly doing whatever they want and using their talent to the max and on their own terms, like they have since 1999. The high price is clearly an attempt from the management to pay for the ridiculous amount of money that went into making the music (again, read the article). They are famous for booking entire studio for 6-12 months and writing and recording the entire album there. A bit stupid, but hey, this is probably the only way for them to get everyone in one room.
