dynamitekid
I just bought the attic tapes and it's good but it's recorded on a 4 track and probably not very representative of their sound. Any recommendations?
scottheisel
I personally like That Much Further West the most, but that's a pretty dense record. If you're looking for more shit-kicker style stuff, get Nobody's Darlings, and if you want more Hold Steady-esque rock 'n' rollers, get Rebels, Rogues And Sworn Brothers. Unfortunately I don't have their S/T or Tennessee so I can't really comment on either.
j4m35
hmm its really tough. honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. the one i've been listening to most recently is nobody's darlings, but i think my favorite is that much further west. they are all great though. the best mixture of that much further west and the attic tapes is the self-titled. I havent heard the new one, but Nobody's Darling's is probably my least favorite. Still good, just last on my list.
goraiders
Basically what Scott said, but Tennessee is probably slower sadder and maybe the best

dynamitekid
does anyone have an extra copy of any of these lp's? particularly nobody's darlings (probably because it's the easiest to find)?
hyperinactive
lucero is a really good band with some really good songs. but they also have some really really bad songs
jinxremoving
does anyone have an extra copy of any of these lp's? particularly nobody's darlings (probably because it's the easiest to find)? scooterist136
I personally think the self titled record is awesome. I'd start there. I tend to buy the older stuff first and work my way to the newer stuff. Every record is amazing and special in it's own way.
twelvetwenty
I started on Nobody's Darlings and was convinced it was the best. Then every record I listened to by them I thought to be the best. I was stuck on TMFW for a bit but I'm currently really digging on Tennessee.

gmoney
Someone recommended these guys to me once, I gave a quick listen, and turned it off and vowed never to suffer through it again. So, TMFW up for preorder and everyone losing their shit over it, made me listen to these guys again and for some reason, I really enjoyed it. Downloaded it, listening now and sad I judged so quickly. I googled best Lucero album and this thread came up. Soooooo - sweet bump.

hudsoncomplex
I find myself spinning Nobody's Darlin's the most. Always a crowd pleaser! does anyone have an extra copy of any of these lp's? particularly nobody's darlings (probably because it's the easiest to find)? Also, check out this bundle: http://totaltreble.bigcartel.com/product/lucero-that-much-further-west-vinyl-bundle if you're looking to get more Lucero.
