mclz
Haha, Rays were almost on the apposing end of another no hitter. If it was a no hitter that would have been what 5 in a years time against the Rays including 2 perfect games right?
dynamitekid
Well, Dunn obviously didn't go anywhere. I heard it was the Dodgers who claimed him...probably to block the Giants.
mclz
Well, Dunn obviously didn't go anywhere. I heard it was the Dodgers who claimed him...probably to block the Giants. Well definitely wasn't anyone in the east.
311thrice
How are the Angels doing Travis? Still think they're gonna win the division?
travis
Pretty sure I already said somewhere I didnt expect the Angels to win the divison anymore. Angels and Rangers play a bunch of games at the very end of the season so if the Angels get within 5 games or so by then anything could happen but no, I dont expect them to win it. I dont think Texas will do their usual end of the year collapse like they do every other year they are a good team.
dynamitekid
The Giants get Jose Guillen. That's a BIG help for them.
311thrice
What a comeback tonight! Rangers rallied and won with a walk off home run from Cruz. Oakland and Anaheim lost, so it was a good night. Definitely made up for losing a 6 run lead to the Yanks 2 nights ago.
mediocore
K-Rod out for the year due to torn ligament in his thumb... suffered while punching his kids' grandfather. Awesome.

dynamitekid
I hope the mets void his contract. The player needs to be punished when he does something stupid.
travis
They might be able to get out of this years remaining $$$ but I think they are stuck with the last 2 years of his contract.
dynamitekid
Apparently if they pitch him next year like they did this year, an option will vest that will pay him 17.5 million in 2012. 0.o
311thrice
The Rangers will never win a game with this lineup. Young-Out with a hurt neck (he'll be back any day now) Kinsler-Out with ankle injury (be back in 2 weeks) Cruz-Out with tightness in hamstring (back in about a week and a half) Treanor-sprained right knee We can't have Cantu, Arias, and Blanco playing and expect to win... mclz
2010 has to go down as not only the "Year of the Pitcher" but also the "Year of Injuries."

311thrice
No-no gone.Well played, Mauer. Ha! Well played? He got the only hit of the night. He may have broken up a no-hitter, but the Rangers still owned the Twins tonight. I'm sure the rest of the series will be close, but it was fun to watch the game tonight. mcm1610
The Sox picked up Damon on waivers from Detroit last night, but they aren't on his 8-team list for his no-trade clause.
