311thrice
I believe the Wild Card team will never have home field advantage.
danthemjfan23
^^ correct.
MattyIceyo
I think there should be a replay rule in MLB(at least the playoffs, 162 game season could go either way). that was up there with epic blown calls like the Tigers no hitter there. blackswanns
Holy poop..... Texas up 2-0!! That's awesome but I still like the Rays. Hopefully Texas can beat NY so I can laugh quietly to myself.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
tim lincecum is so fucking good. 4 years and 900 K's?? just unreal. I think i may be rooting for the giants in the NL, him and buster posey, so good.
flood
i really hope the reds can pony up and take tonite from philly... i want no part of them making the WS
blackswanns
I have hope for the Red but it's minuscule at best. Go Reds for what it's worth.
311thrice
The Reds have no chance...but I've seen weirder things happen.
blackswanns
The Reds have no chance...but I've seen weirder things happen. Didn't think Boston was going to win down 3-0 to the Yanks back in '04 but look what happen there. But I still stand by my prediction of Reds losing in 4. tomoleksy
I want the Reds but I'm not sure they have a chance, it all comes down to how Hamels pitches, since Oswalt has been so dominant since going to Philly.
dynamitekid
The Twins have truly become the A's. Great regular season team, terrible in the playoffs.
flood
well the twins just have to stop running full speed into a pinstriped wall in the first round every year
blackswanns
well the twins just have to stop running full speed into a pinstriped wall in the first round every year Maybe the Rays should have thrown the last two games and they could have played the Twins and the Yanks at Texas. That would have been interesting.
tomoleksy
When do the twins cut ties with Gardy? He's a great manager but his lack of post season success in the last decade isn't a good look.

He's a great manager but his lack of post season success in the last decade isn't a good look. that ridiculous. dude consistently makes the playoffs with no budget, and this year hes down his #2 offensive player, and they lost their ace closer for the entire season. They would have fared much better against texas or the rays.... they're just outclassed when it comes to the yankees

tomoleksy
And I don't know if I'd call 100 million "no budget"
blackswanns
Sometimes you just got to bite the bullet and get someone new in there. I was watching sportcenter this morning and everyone was making remarks about how the twins can't beat the Yankees in the post season. The Yankees are the Twins "curse" and until they beat them no one will believe they can get past them in a playoff series.
dynamitekid
First, $100 million is not a budget. Second, They have Capps, Rausch and Fuentes which should make up for Nathan's loss but they haven't had a lead to use any of them with. I think maybe they should change it up from Gardenhire. The goal is to win the world series not get swept in the playoffs every year.
nick6ten
If you haven't been watching the Reds much this season, you wont think they are going anywhere. No one is giving them any respect, this team is going to surprise a lot of people. Reds in 4. I have tickets for all the home games for the first 2 series, I'm beyond excited. blackswanns
I hope the Reds win it all but i'm realistic. If not the Reds I hope the Rays but I'm realistic.
tomoleksy
I guess that's how you follow up a no hitter, what a messy game for both sides.

blackswanns
That game was an embarrassment. I'm surprised I watched as much as I did.
