nickheitman
i was thinking earlier and wanted to know how you guys felt about split releases. i think their okay, but sometimes i only like one band on the split, and then it sucks to waste the other side. i'd personally have two separate records. what do you think? cadetapplesauce
anything new from a good band gets me stoked.
Guest afsdan
love the split format. I prefer a split 12" because I like about 15 minutes of music. my attention span is limited, but 4-5 minutes is too little for one band.
adamlikesmusic
I like splits. Heard a lot of new music through them.
jailhouse
We actually have a split coming in Nov, with both really good and known bands, 5 songs from each band, one band all new songs, the other band 3 new and 2 live songs, so basically a full length at a split price. (selfish plug) I have heard some horribly shitty sides though, and weird ones that just don't belong together like the AAA/Comon Rider split. Both great bands, but also totally different. AAA get's you in the mood to murder a government official, and then Common Rider makes you want to play with daisies in the sun while taking bong hits. deadbeat52
I love splits.. It gives you a chance to listen to some bands you might not have taken the time to check out.. We're putting out a full-length vinyl only split hopefully by the end of the year..
xjustinxschwierx
breaks up the monotony and gets material out there instead of waiting a year or more for new full lengths.

celebdeath
not really into splits due to expense mainly. rather be paying for a full release from each band. i do like the discovering new music thing that you get with splits and really love it when the music is not released anywhere else, but they can be a costly option for collections. although i must say the grails/red sparowes split is incredible. heavyheavylowlow
I only have 2, so I still enjoy the novelty factor. And the one split I really can't wait for (The Fall Of Troy/The Number Twelve Looks Like You) doesn't looks like it's happening now, even though the music has been done

tobinownlife
Pinhead Gunpowder / Dillinger Four split 7" Sleeper Horse / Echoes of Harper's Ferry split 7" Maybe some of the Quincy Shanks 4 way splits with Tricky Dick and the 4 Squares or the Blacknoise Recordings 4 way split with Leftover Crack, Morning Glory, F-Minus, and Bent Outta Shape. Brad lived right down the street, unknown to me at the time, and hand delivered it.
