mattisr1984
amare will be an upgrade in NY but if its him alone, it wont mean much. as a suns fan, im glad hes leaving but i feel bad for nash -- probably not going to be a very good year next year. mattisr1984
rumors: suns trying to push through a sign and trade deal with the knicks to get something for amare in return (probably david lee whose contract the knicks would like to see gone). apparently, it would be beneficial to both teams and amare would come out with a bit more money (as if it makes much of a difference when youre talking about a $100 mil). http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/articles/2010/07/05/20100705phoenix-suns-amare-stoudemire-plan.html bosh to cleveland in a sign and trade looks like a good possibility as well. id say that would seal the deal on lebron returning to cleveland... http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5357607 if that bosh trade happens then major LOL at new york and chicago (unless wade packs his bags and heads to chicago by himself... havent really hard anything about him going to NY but maybe?) but it would come as no surprise since amare was already talking about getting tony parker and carmello anthony to come to new york NEXT YEAR. Japes
Williams, James, Jamison, Bosh, O'Neal? That's a pretty fucking awesome line-up. I'd feel pretty good about that. REALLY hoping that happens.
zac
O'Neil is likely to be gone and the sign and trade deal for Bosh would most likely include Verejao and J.J. Hickson. It still is not a finals winning team and Bosh does not want to play in Cleveland at all. Anyone else think it's ridiculous that Lebron is doing a one hour ESPN special on Thursday night to announce where he's going? Talk about ego. Japes
Maybe it wasn't his idea, haha. Who knows. O'Neil will probably stay if LeBron does. I think the trade deal was J.J. Hickson or Varejao with either Delonte or Parker.
zac
I'm sure you all know but Wade and Bosh to Miami for sure.
travis
shit, i hope lebron doesnt end up in miami too.
Japes
If he goes anywhere BUT Miami, it would be a retarded move. I understand the money and the such, but really? If he wants a championship that's where he has to go.
danthemjfan23
my friend works for collegehumor so on facebook i always see his updates on things he's promoting and occasionally i'll click on them if they seem interesting (they rarely are anymore, though). this one was called "things us 90s kids now know" or something like that, and it had this: i love kobe, no doubt. he's my favorite current athlete. but seriously, no matter what he does on the court, how could he ever top Space Jam? MJ wins by default.
beardacus
shit, i hope lebron doesnt end up in miami too. Looks like he is. Sportscenter and other sources have come out and said that he's going to sign with em. Dude, that's a bummer. Gotta say.
jayeffscene
Pretty stoked about Boozer going to Chicago.
travis
Damn Im so out of it when it comes to the NBA lately. So Boozer to Chicago, Bosh to Miami and Amare to NY? Any other big moves?
zac
Ray Allen signs a two year deal with Celtics, so does Jermaine O'neal. Kyle Korver and Travis Outlaw to the Nets. Durant signed a 5 year extension. Chris Duhon to the Magic. Linas Kleiza to Toranto. Brendan Haywood signs a 6 year extension. Lakers officially sign Steve Blake, Grizzlies officially sign Rudy Gay. danthemjfan23
^^ in addition to those, paul pierce back to boston. jermain o'neil signed with the celtics as well, and (if it hasn't happened already) it's looking like ray allen is re-signing with them too. the nets signed travis outlaw to a pretty big contract (for somebody who isn't really all that great) today, too. travis
Oh wow, lots of stuff happening. Been hoping the Lakers could improve their bench this off season.

zac
Kyle Korver just signed with the Bulls for 3 years/$15 million. I guess the Nets fell through. Chicago is a better fit anyway. Raymond Felton to the Knicks too.
zac
J.J. Reddick offered 3years/$20 Million from the Bulls. I guess they want all the really good white shooters. Orlando can still match it but they won't. Also David Lee went to the Warriors for two of their players.
zac
Tony Allen is signing a 3 year deal with the Grizzlies apparently. I'm so stoked on that! I don't know why Boston didn't resign him though. Also Jordan Farmar to the Nets for 3 years.
Japes
We get our first look at John Wall in about 5 minutes. I'm not a fan of his attitude, but I hope he does good for himself.
thesupervillain
Rumor of Turkoglu headed to Phoenix for Barbosa. I could take or leave Diaw, but I've always liked Barbosa, and Turk was obviously useless last year and if he doesn't want to be here, I don't want him here. So good trade as far as I'm concerned. edit: Turkoglu's Wikipedia page says this trade happened yesterday: "On July 11, 2010, the Phoenix Suns went and traded Leandro Barbosa to the Raptors in exchange for Hedo, along with a trade of a future second round draft pick for the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Josh Childress." travis
Wow Farmar to the Nets? Oh well I guess the Lakers only have like 3 point guards now. I thought Farmar would be taking over for Fish since Fish might be going to Miami. Lakers need to get some serious help for their bench. thesupervillain
According to various reports, the Raptors are on the verge of shipping Hedo Turkoglu to Phoenix for guard Leandro Barbosa and forward Dwayne Jones. The Raptors would then reportedly ship forward Reggie Evans and guard Jose Calderon to the Charlotte Bobcats for forward Boris Diaw and centre Tyson Chandler. zac
I know its summer league butSam Young and Hasheem Thabeet killed it tonight. Thabeet showed his midrange game and after the buzzer he drained a 3. Sam Young ended up with 35 points which is a summer league record this year. Thabeet had 21 points, 14 rebounds (2010 record), and 6 blocks (2010 record).
