scooterist136
I just saw Tropic Thunder. I think I will stick to not watching Ben Stiller movies in the future. I just can't get into them. On the other hand though, I am watching Dead Or Alive by Takashi Miike tomorrow. I'm definitely looking forward to that.
cadetapplesauce
i thought tropic thunder was pretty funny.
monk0nuggets
Dead or Alive was one of my least favorite Miike films I've seen.
murakami
Slumdog Millionaire. Pretty good film. It puts American life in perspective to less fortunate places
rtw88
I'm plowing through It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. I had seen episodes here and there, but now I'm going through the whole series in order.
swank
I just watched J.C.V.D. last night. It's kind of hard to explain, but it's basically Jean-Claude Van Damme playing a semi-fictionalized version of himself. I've always sort of looked at Jean-Claude as something of a joke, but he really impressed me on this one. He gives a really stellar performance. scooterist136
I watched a movie called Havoc last night starring Anne Hathaway. It's about rich kids who try to act "gangsta" and get in over their heads. I enjoyed the film despite the bad acting. The people I was with hated it. murgorgoroth
i watched transformers like 3 times in the last week.mainly because i was sick as a dog and didnt feel like getting up the couch to put a new movie in. how do people do this?! there is no way in hell I could even consider watching a movie for the second or third time immediately after I had watched it. regardless of my physical condition. scooterist136
I did it with Oldboy because I really liked the movie and wanted to see subtle nuances I missed while reading the subtitles the first time through. Not sure if I'd do that for Transformers though. I understand doing it with foreign films.
monk0nuggets
Just finished "Kicking and Screaming" (the Noah Baumbach film, not the one with Will Ferril). Great writing.
monk0nuggets
Watched Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind today. Only Miyazaki film I haven't seen. You can definitely tell it was his first original feature film, but it was still pretty good. I think the worst part about it was the 80s electro score.
