scottheisel
As a photographer, is it weird being at a wedding and (generally) not taking pictures?
lonesomexloveus
As a photographer, is it weird being at a wedding and (generally) not taking pictures? i'm not gonna lie, it was pretty painful; especially because the guy she hired was not good at all and i felt like i was doing her some kind of disservice by just standing around in a bridesmaid dress. i even gave him my lenses to borrow because i knew he'd (hopefully) get better photos with them than what he was shooting with. i shot as much as i could at the reception and during the whole getting ready process, but obviously there was only so much that i could do. hopefully i was just being overly critical and her photographer's photos turn out better than i anticipate that they will! wakeupandlive
Allison, I was at a wedding today as well. My dad got married(kinda weird) so I had to get all fancy for it. I shot as much as I could, but only got a handful of shots I dig. THe photographer they hired was a prick and kept giving me nasty looks everytime I pulled my camera out. Lame. mcm1610
I'm pumped for my first cousin to get married in August. They're all about being Irish (even though they're half-German too) and there's going to be a nice open bar, and it's really just going to be a belligerent party. lonesomexloveus
my roommates was an 'etown' themed wedding, which is her and my alma mater. even the reception was held on campus. our mascot was the blue jay, and she had birds on everything, even as the cake topper, and she had blue jay feathers in her bouquet. the blue jay made an appearance, and this was the etown alumni picture:
mcm1610
Haha awesome. I don't know if an Orange-themed (Syracuse) wedding would be as cutsie. It'd be much more obnoxious, especially if Otto the Orange showed up.

Fartcat
It's only fun to have a mascot at your wedding if he gets really drunk and starts dancing like an asshole.
