Snaggle Von Swift
I really want to be somewhere while having an earthquake, obviously just a small, non-destructive, but quite noticeable earthquake. but hope everyone/everything is alright after the one that just happened. zak138
it broke stuff at my place. Don't put old bottles of full beer on top of a 5x5 expedit in earthquake zones.
blupenguin
I love how I learned of this from /b/ while it was happening. Faster than twitter AND cnn.
devilstrombone
I've never been in an earthquake. We don't really get them up in Washington that I know of.

mikeian
yeah i felt it, wasn't longer than a few seconds.. supposed to be 4.7 (http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Quakes/ci10410337.html) but didn't feel like it at all... some earthquakes are like "hey, that was an earthquake", this one is more like, "was that an earthquake?" matt
i was at the front desk talking to this australian guy when it started. his face was pricless as it turned from glee to complete shock in a matter of seconds. "is that what you guys call an 'earthquake?'" i actually thought it was much smaller than what was reported but granted im not very close to where it was centered. dylan
im about 10 minutes from where it was centered and i felt it pretty good here, but no damage at my place or my parents
adamlikesmusic
When I was staying in a house in Huntington Beach last summer, there was this really rad earthquake. Felt like the whole house was on a wave.

Just Another Tom
There was a small quake in the UK a year or so ago. I crapped myself, it woke me up and i was convinced someone was trying to knock my door down until i realised. How often do you get them in Cali? Technically there are earthquakes everyday, but they aren't big enough to measure on the Richter Scale (sp?) It seems like it's about monthly, it's only been a few weeks since the last time we had one of a decent size. I've gotten really used to it - when I felt today's I just sat here for a few seconds and tried to think if it was big enough for me to even bother getting under my desk, it wasn't. There were a few reports of property damage near its epicenter in Northridge.
