aviolentworld
is it worth it to spend 2 extra bucks for the 3 mil poly (outer)sleeves or is their not a big difference between the 2 and 3 mil sleeves?

akross
This reminds me that I need more sleeves... I would go with the 3 mil.
aviolentworld
also do ones with flaps really protect it more? it seems like it does but they are such a pain in the ass some times.
aarondanger
dude 4mil
truetilldeath303
I only use 6 mil,but it cost $45 for 100. But... the records slide so well in and out of the cabinet, and it just feels nicer. I would go for as thick as you can spend. 2 mil is like a zip lock bag.

Flaps are super annoying if you listen to your records. I would only suggest using those for stuff like test presses or doubles that you aren't going to play much/at all. jhulud
I have always used the ones with the flaps. Bagsunlimited recently changed the "design" of the flaps and it's a lot easier and less annoying to take the records out. It's not as gooey and stuck as previous ones they've had. And yeah...spend the extra $2.

willbratt
I just got my order of 5 mil sleeves from sleevecity. I've used them before and I LOVE how smooth and solid they are.
forgeagain
I always roll the snug fit ones. I hate big ass baggy bags.
mcm1610
I find the flaps annoying to deal with since I'm constantly playing records in my room.
ocnypunk
These with the resealable flaps are the best bang for the buck so to speak. http://www.bagsunlimited.com/cart/detail.asp?cat=2&subcat=11&product_id=slps3r
stefan
1) I hate flaps. Pain to open and in time the gooey stuff annoys the crap out of me. 2) 3mil any day. Like someone said, 2mil is a sandwich bag.

mystic84
does anyone use the bagsunlimited ones?
adamlikesmusic
does anyone use the bagsunlimited ones? I'd say most people who have them bought them from Bags Unlimited. And I use the resealable bags. Not sure the "goo" issue that people are talking about. It's a very thin, and not very strong line of some substance comparable to the strength of a piece of scotch tape (sticky-wise). The strip is not sticky enough to attach itself to your jacket, without being able to safely remove it. I have never accidentally caused any damage to a jacket through it sticking to the bag. Not to mention the sticky-substance is on the bag itself, not the flap (even after a long time of use, the substance doesn't leave residue on the flap) so your jacket never comes in contact with the substance, unless you are careless in handling it. I also listen to my records, and I find the 3 seconds it takes to open the bag is really no big deal. (You've got to be real lazy to find it an inconvenience) It keeps pet hair as well as dust out of my record jackets, and does a great job of doing so. And obviously the thicker the bags is, the more durable it is.
