mattstrike
I'd like to add Switzerland to my favorite vacation locations. Absolutely breathtaking scenery, super nice people, über-democratic (seemingly), great hiking trails, AMAZING public transportation… not to mention Swiss typography is my porn. I've never been so impressed with environmental signage as I was in Switzerland. ++__________++ I drink my bourbon with two ice cubes and I roll my own smokes. Oh, and I'm one of the old folks on this board.
dante3000
-I'm currently working on an updated version of the "Vagina Monologues" called "The Coochie Diatribes" - I'm a compulsive and pathological liar - the persona that many of you associate with me is just a well played act to allow me to move about society in a functional manner. Guest
I am 20. Currently employed as a food whore (waiter and short order cook) while on summer break. My favorite band is The Ramones. Favorite album would probably be London Calling. Been really into Slim Cessna's Auto Club recently (Everyone should get their new album Cipher, its pretty goddamn amazing). I go to school at the local community college: University of Wisconsin - Washington County, known locally as Cow Pie High. I enjoy bike rides and sleeping outside. My favorite vacation spots are all the camping areas around here. The Kettle Moraine in Wisconsin is really beautiful.

scooterist136
job: I am a mechanical engineer. Most of the time I feel like a glorified drafter because my job also involves drawing the plans for the stuff I design. significant other: I've been dating a womyn for 2 months...not really expecting it to last more than another couple months. I am actually ok with that too. favorite band/album: My favorite bands are His Hero Is Gone, Hot Water Music, Strike Anywhere, and Yaphet Kotto. I listen to a lot of different music though. favorite vacation place: I am currently working on seeing a major city in every state of the US. My favorite by far has been New York City. Some of my best vacation memories though involve sledding in Bend, Oregon. I also rode my scooter (vintage Vespa) from San Luis Obispo, CA to Vancouver, BC, Canada. The trip took three weeks to ride there and back. I also got to hang out in Vancouver and Seattle for a couple days on that trip. I rode 2,800 miles on that trip and broke down multiple times. I worked on my scooter most nights. I did the entire trip with a good friend of mine who was also riding a vintage scooter, although he was on a Lambretta. other interests: I collect and restore vintage Vespa scooters. I currently have 5, or which 4 of them run. That is actually quite an accomplishment because they are expensive and prone to problems. I also build Vespa engines for money in my spare time. One of my Vespa engines has been built to go fast. I have been using GPS to track my speed and have gone 85mph on it. I am also fairly heavily tattooed and have worked in tattoo studios or with tattoo artist for the past 10 years. I don't tattoo but have been a personal assistant and shop helper when I am not engineering. I don't drink alcohol or do drugs. I had a pretty severe drug problem when I was younger. I have just over 6 years clean now. I ride my bicycle a lot and love it. I mostly ride single speed but will occasionally ride fixed gear. I have two cats and can't imagine life without them. I'm vegan and have been for many years. I'm 31 years old. I watch a lot of movies, mostly horror, foreign, and independent films. I started going to punk/hardcore shows in 1989 when I was 11 years old and have been going since. I think that covers it. Oh,I collect vinyl and despise when people them "wax". tattoosdonthurt
My name is Tym. I'm 30. I used to have a NOFX vinyl collection that would rival that of Skinnydave and a lot of others over on the fatwreck(used to be nofx)wiki. I'm married to an amazing, beautiful woman named Kari Sue. We've been married almost 4 years. We have no children b/c she just finished her degree 3 weeks ago and is now trying to find a teaching job(teaching art). I have an eidetic memory-this means that I not only remember things I see, but I remember sonic details, exact words, where I was when I heard a line in a song--that kind of thing. I'm 5'11(with shoes on) and I weigh about a metric ton. Tim Barry probably gets the most plays on my turntable, iPod, iTunes, jukebox or whatever medium I may be using. I love to drink PBR and MD 20/20. I'm in atlanta, don't laugh, it's common place here...right? I work for a company called takedown sportswear and we sell wrestling/fighting/any sport apparel and gear and do custom screenprinting and embroidery. I get paid well. Although I am lurking on CL for a new job.

thomas
I am 23 and have lived in Akron, OH my entire life. I have maybe only left the state about 5 times in my entire life. I am currently employed at AAA where I answer phones and dispatch out tow trucks. I have not had a girlfriend since high school, and it really has not bothered me all that much. I've been out of College for 2 years due to anxiety issues, but I am currently trying to go back to try to move forward in my life. I really like Portugal the Man, and Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground. My favorite album of all time is the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper. I'd love to visit Japan once in my life, but otherwise am not the type to vacation. I'm a huge nerd who plays videogames and watches anime. There is not much about me that is interesting other then maybe the fact I'm a huge hypochondriac and always think I am dying of something. Just Another Tom
My name is Tom, i am 24 and live smack bang in the middle of England. I am single, but not looking. I am a twin and half Italian I have a cat called Casper (my sister named him) and 11 fish (Blue, the neon 3, the stripy 4 and the ugly 3) I graduate in four weeks with a HND in Electronic/Electrical engineering and have no idea what i want to do. I live for festivals and live music and have traveled the world in search of them. I have never really been on a regular holiday/vacation, but Sweden Rock festival/Sweden is almost perfection, and the Fest/Gainesville just feels like home. My ultimate favourite bands are The Lawrence Arms and Whitesnake, but i could make a favourites list at least 20 strong. Rumspringer are my band of the minute though, i can't listen to that record enough.
whateverrrr
my name is breayne and I'm 22. I grew up right outside of Detroit and moved to Chicago last summer to go to school. I go to film school while concentrating in screenwriting. I would be alright if I never worked on a film set the rest of my life. I want to spend it writing. I was recently hired at a small coffee shop a few blocks from my apartment. I've been with the love of my life for over 4 and a half years and we're moving in together next month. My favorite bands are Radiohead, Pixies & Les Savy Fav. But, I have an eclectic taste in music and genres. The only vacations I can usually afford are road trips to a music festival, so that's usually what I do and I love it. ¬hing is better than a good book, in my opinion. matt
yo -I'm Matt -I am 25 and recently moved from the bourgeois confines of Yorba Linda to Anaheim Hills. -I've lived in southern California all my life and don't think there's a better place to live. -I am the front desk manager at a hotel which resides across the way from Disneyland and have to wear a suit everyday to work. -I'm a fat hairy Jew with a Spanish last name. -Although both of my parents are Spanish teachers I never learned the language from them. Instead I've picked it up from school and working many years in restaurants. -I'm on the 8 year plan in college. Still working at it and we'll see how soon I get out. Currently at Cal St Fullerton. -Attempting to become a high school history teacher when its all said and done. -I live with my girlfriend and we'll be getting a dog this coming saturday. -I work my way doing this animal style records. Having tons of fun doing this while stressing out at the same time. -I still consider Face to Face to be my all time favorite band. Throw in Pennywise, Lifetime, Rise Against, and Hot Water Music. Most things that fall into the realm of 90s southern california "skate" punk. Still listen to tons of other things that fall under the realm of punk and hardcore. -Favorite vacation spot? Anywhere I can crash and not pay loads of cash on hotel rooms.
motorbike
-my name is michael and im 23. -most of my friends dont know my real name because most people call me trailer, motorbike, little bones, or t-pain. not one of those nick names have any meaning what so ever. -me and my girlfriend have been together for four years but i think things are beginning to slow down between us because we basically are becoming different from each other more and more every day. -i write a ton. the two serious projects i have going are a survivor novel and a comic book im working on with a friend about a guy who wants to be a superhero but has no powers (not batman). -i play in a band called "red sea division" and we havent done shit in a year. -i work in a school bus dealership and sell parts for them, its pretty sweet. i basically sit on the internet all day and lurk. -i collect vinyl but not much right lately cuz i need a whole new set up and have no cheese because... -i recently moved to downtown atlanta in a high rise building to help a friend with bills. its sick though, eleventh story view kills. -guttermouth and mxpx were the bands that introduced me to punk rock 12 years ago and im still rocking "life in general" and "friendly people". -i smoke to much weed and drink to much jager but i enjoy it. -i read comics and love star wars more than any one person should. -i want to get back in school but im way to broke and have to many bills already! fuck car notes! -my favorite vacation spot is any place that has a beach, its warm, and there are no people. suburbanargyle
Let's see...I'm 26. Did 4 years in the Air Force, now I'm a contractor for the Marine Corps. I'm deployed about 200 days a year to many different places for a few weeks at a time. Originally from Baltimore, MD, I was stationed in Fort Huachuca, AZ and Pensacola, FL before getting stuck in San Antonio, where I ended up staying. I'm engaged and we are getting married in Hawaii in November. I also just bought my first house and we will be moving in next month. I've played ice hockey my whole life and I got to a decent level before leaving for the military. Now I play adult league and pickup whenever I am in town. I've been working on getting a degree for forever, I think at this rate I'll have one in about 30 years. One of my favorite things about records (specifically old ones), is thinking about the original owner listening to it. For example, a first press Minor Threat "Out Of Step" or a "London Calling", I think - someone listened to that EXACT copy when it first came out. I wonder sometimes if it blew that persons mind.
