$80 for Manchester Orchestra - I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child

$60 for Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends on baby blue

I think I would have to really really want something extremely bad to spend more than $100 on any record

ouch on that Manchester Orchestra. I got mine for $7 new

$100 for Boys Night Out-Broken Bones and Bloody Kisses test.

$60 for the same record on brown /7

$50 for the 180g test

Anymore I can't see myself spending money like this on records. Even if I had the chance to complete the collection I probably wouldn't do it for the money that it would most likely require.

yeh the newer presses are a lot cheaper, mine is a 1st press so i think that accounts for the jacked price

do you know if there is a way to tell the difference between presses? The one I got was sitting at the record store for over a year and I finaly grabbed it when it went on sale.

i bet you feel bad now that the steinways aotu 7" test is on ebay and will go for like half of that

Yep. i saw that the other day. oh well.

At least with most of my larger purchases the money goes straight to the label or grath himself (rather than some asshole on ebay).

besides those expensive steinways records, I havent paid over 20 bucks for anything since then. I have been really fucking thrifty lately.

I'm that asshole on ebay. Thanks. I really love The Steinways though, so at least you know the other test is in the family! ;)

I've paid $465 for this (which is almost a great deal since one sold for $800 not too long ago, one sold for $600 BIN a week ago, and the one on Ebay at the moment is already at $575).

Up until last year, I had never paid more than like $30 for a record. I was able to build my NOFX and Misfits collections without spending too much. But you get to a point where you are only missing the "hard to find items"...so you need to spend the money! I decided to put my Misfits collection on hold (just would be insane the $$$ I would have to spend). My main focus has been NOFX for some time now.

I'm not entirely sure... I remember hearing thru the grapevein that the 1st press was of 1000 and after that they just press it whenever the need more since they own their own label but I'm not sure

$115 - Bob Dylan - Love And Theft

$110 - Metallica - Death Magnetic (45rpm 4lp set)

$90 - $100 - Distillers - Coral Fang

$90 - $100 - Lucero - Tennessee

$90 - $100 - Lucero - That Much Farther West

Over $50 - Beck - Mellow Gold

Over $50 - NIN - Pretty Hate Machine

Over $50 - B.B. King / Eric Clapton - Riding With The King

Over $50 - Lucero - Nobody's Darlings (on white)

Over $50 - Pearl Jam - No Code

Over $50 - RATM - Live At The Grand Olympic

Over $50 - Rob Zombie - American Music Made To Strip By

Over $50 - Distillers - S/T (1st pressing)

Over $50 - Uncle Tupelo - Still Feel Gone & March 16-20, 1992

And I have on the way:

$60 - Tim Barry - Laurel St Demos (Red/Orange Swirl w/ white jacket)

$75 - Tim Barry - Laurel St Demos (test pressing)

I'd give quite a bit more than the $115 for Tim Barry "Laurel St Demos" on brown w/ white cover, Pearl Jam's "Lost Dogs" and "Benaroyal Hall", Eddie Vedder's "Into The Wild" and Lucero's "Attic Tapes" first pressing.
