scotterson
I want to go everywhere. Top two are probably Greece and Ireland. I just want to relax, see the seaside and countryside, and eat some delicious food.
xfactor675
hey Drabley, it's nice to see my city on the top of your list. Are there any promo for it in the States or where did you hear about it?
drabley
I'd like to check out the remains (or dug up remains) of Pompeii, Italy. I thought it was pretty disappointing, to be honest. There were only a few artifacts that were out in the open, and no fossilized remains like they show in documentaries. It was just essentially the shell of the village. Don't get me wrong, it was still fascinating. The best part for me was seeing 2000 year old wall paintings still intact with their pigments clear as day. I had intended to spend a full day there, but had enough by noon. Do a half day there in the morning, then hop the train to Sorrento for the afternoon and dinner. No promos that I've seen here, but I seem to recall some advertisements when I lived in Canada. I'm a culture/history buff, so I like to visit places that are "off the beaten path" so to speak. Hungary was one of the cultural centers of the world at one point in history, and is still rich today. And it looks gorgeous. Most of the places I'd like to go seem a bit odd to most: Damascus, Beirut, Krakow, Kiev/Odessa, Bucharest, Tripoli, Tashkent... those sort of places. Snaggle Von Swift
i'm going to Florida in June, but not really a relaxing vacation. I'm a cold weather fan, so i'd like to go north. Alaskan cruise would be amazing. I need to make it happen at some point within the next year and a half.
