timwt
Also, I hope that the new Futurama season has episodes like this one.
hankmurphy
That is a very touching ending, especially for an episode of Futurama. It feels so sincere that it seems almost out of place. Jimmy Corrigan the Smartest Kid On Earth chokes me up every time I read it. That and watching Pan's Labrynth. Now that I think about it, lots of books/movies make me get all shitty and emotional. david
I'm glad there's a topic about this. This episode would always bum me out when it be on adult swim and then family guy would come on and I just wouldn't be able to laugh. However I like how in the first movie it shows how Seymour gets flashed fossilized.

burdenx
family guy would come on and I just wouldn't be able to laugh. I often have this problem. /obvious joke
scotterson
Great. Now I'm sad again. Seriously. Great episode, but I get sad just thinking about it. Hearing Fry sing "Walking on Sunshine" in a totally different episode seriously made me sad the other day.

thedavidescapeplan
This is probably the most soul crushing 22 minutes of television ever.
mclz
Only episode I can't watch or I'll cry.
mcm1610
Before my mom went off for treatment, I would often leave my dog with her to babysit. She always told me how Miley, my dog, sat in the window with the most pathetic look until I came back. Every time she said that, I thought of this episode. When the dog finally puts his head down in the final scene, it's definitely heart-wrenching. Dogs and their unconditional love.. they're so great. thesupervillain
I found that the fourth season had a much more serious tone than the rest of the show did, but this episode in particular gets me every time. I can't even watch it anymore.
