new cars

Recommended Posts

2000 GMC Sonoma.

About a year ago, I looked into buying a car. After checking around for new and used cars, and punching some numbers, I realized the money I could get for my truck, is peanuts considering the pieces of shit I could buy with it, considering no one takes care of their vehicles these days. and with a new car, I just don't want to spend the money on something cheap, when I can wait a few years and get what I want instead of settle on something.

Plus, when I thought about, I take great care of my truck. With the exception of a few minor problems that are easily fixed, I know this thing isn't just going to fall apart on me anytime soon. I've seen some used cars my friends have bought, and they end up costing them a fortune in the long run, because you never know how the vehicle was treated by its previous owner.

For anyone here who works with touring bands, they probably all know stories of bands getting fucked with their 'new' used vans.

i feel as though i'm CONSTANTLY hearing (via twitter or other social networking sites) about bands having their new-to-them used van breaking down right after they get it. are vans really that horrible or are bands that stupid that they don't have a mechanic check it out first?
