How many trick or treaters did you get?

As it gets darker, the older kids are still slowly coming around, but I think I answered the door about 7 or 8 times to about ~20 or 25 kids. This is actually an upgrade from the last few years.

When I was little, the streets were FLOODED with kids.. what do they do now? Or.. where'd the kids all go?

Either people are getting older, or Freddy killed them all last night.

there was a gang shooting two blocks south of me about an hour ago, so in addition to trick or treaters there are also cops on foot

i personally didn't get any, but i'd say there were 4 or 5 groups of 4 kids + parents at about 6PM. i saw a patrol car go up my street a while ago.

probably two cops. and the alderwoman. joking, our alderwoman is terrible.

A ton of the kids around here do "Trunk of Treat" now. A business or church will sponsor it and basically there are games, cakewalks, inflatable jump rooms and whatnot. People decorate their cars and stuff, and hand out candy.

There's tons of kids that come through my neighborhood, though on my entire street we've got maybe a handful of houses that actually get into Halloween. Kind of depressing.

Maybe 10 kids total. Better than last year. My two year old was in charge of giving out the candy.

Only got around 15.....I think there are other activities that the kids do these days....my kids only went to a few houses and then came home....kids are lazier these days.....

Well I tried to leave my house around 6:30 yesterday but barely got out because of crazy kids running everywhere hopped up on kit kats and cocaine.

The town in which I live doesn't have many problems with crime, just run by old-fashioned gents who will not allow a real fast food restaurant to bring in money. We have a tastee freeze. So popular.

Back to trick or treaters...I can only assume there were a shit ton of kids, but I remember barely having room to walk when I was a kiddo.

Seriously. My friends and I would cover our entire neighborhood, which is the better part of a square mile.

One group of kids came through. They built a huge development about 2 miles away from my neighborhood, where the houses are all extremely close together, whereas they are spaced out where I live. There used to be tons of kids coming through my neighborhood, but now the parents take them all up to the new developement so they can hit up more houses in a shorter amount of time.

30-40 maybe. some older kids that maybe should have given up the candy gathering a year or two ago too. only really came around for 2 hours then died off fast.

We had a grand total of 47 here. But my mom got lame treats...Teddy Grams and mini Oreos? C'mon!

It's weird seeing how parents these days just drive around their kids when going trick-or-treating. I remember doing that once when I went with my friends and their parents. But that was to go to the rich part of town where I remember one house handed out king size candy bars. Good times.

Going to the rich people's houses always backfired for me. They'd be giving out sweetarts and gross shit like that. The trick was to go to the neighborhoods that nobody went to around 8:30 or 9, those people were desperate to get rid of their candy.

So I spoke too soon previously. This year's turnout was the highest I can remember. A big part of it is that kids are van'd in from other neighborhoods, but still, a surprising number of families/kids out tonight in my neighborhood.
