burntwolf
just announced. i'd be more stoked if the nirvana reissues were more impressive, soundwise, since i already have both of these originals. i'll prob still not be able to resist getting them tho. kevbayer
who is doing the reissues?
burntwolf
ORG Music same label that did recent Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Teenage Fanclub, etc... https://www.facebook.com/orgmusiclabel http://www.orgmusic.com/
plasma36
That means they'll be way too much money. Probably cheaper than an original press, but the Nirvana albums are well over $20.
steventangent
Will definitely buy! Always stoked to see the favorite albums of my youth getting repressed.

rocknroll76
I have never been able to find a copy of Meantime for a decent price. I love that album!
hickey
I got my copy used three or four years ago for $14. The vinyl was dusty, but a good cleaning and it sounds prefect. I bought Strap It On at the same time. It think that was $8.
rocknroll76
That's the kind of score I've been waiting on. I scored a copy of the Born Annoying CD single on Am Rep signed by all 4 members for like $3.

planetrakis
Strip it on? Why not Meantime and Betty?
harby
I have never been able to find a copy of Meantime for a decent price. I love that album! If you are patient and keep an eye out, you can probably score an OG copy of Meantime for around $30 or a bit more. I got the AmRep press for about that in great condition at Amoeba a few months back. Probably close to what the repress will cost.

It's funny, I was in Amoeba one time going for the "H" section and there was a guy right there with "Meantime" under his arm, I was able to see the price and it was $14.99....FFfffffuuuuccckkk, just missed it! rochambo
Nice. I scored my original of Meantime back in 2001 for $10.
httran
If Bernie Grundmann is working on these they should sound pretty good.
seafoamgreen
Strip it on? Why not Meantime and Betty? These are major label releases. Interscope if I remember correctly- they're out of business, so I'm guessing who owns the rights is up in the air. I can't think of any other Interscope releases that have been repressed recently... thought I'd buy the hell out of some Pigface.
burntwolf
those are the only Helmet records i like anyway. i wasn't into betty too much and nothing after that. strap it on was reissued by Interscope/Atlantic, but i don't remember if the vinyl stayed w/ AmRep or if they also reissued vinyl. oop either way. mine is an AmRep one. there is also a Glitterhouse version. hickey
Betty is my favorite Helmet album, I think.
booyahachieved
Betty was the first album I bought with my own money and it was on cassette. I remember cranking it up in my bedroom thinking it was the most fucking bad ass thing I'd ever heard.
burntwolf
i remember having to special order Strap it On on cassette and it took them a while to get ahold of it. i thought it was pretty badass though.
