patron
Technics made one of these in the early 80's (called the SL-V5). Like with most Ion tables, it would probably be cheaper to hunt down a 30 year old table that will last much longer. http://www.vintagetechnics.info/turntables.htm
smailtronic
Trusting a vertically hanging needle looks like a terrible idea.
thacriddler
It defies physics....total seller.
controlthebleeding
i use to have one of these.. the arm isn't weighted and it drops just enough for the needle to play the record. i use to own one in the 80's. nothing special. takes up more space on your shelf too. ryanmccauley38
Is it just me, or does this look like it will only take 7" records and smaller?

dreamover
if they're going to make something to hang on the wall, why did they make it look like all their other shitty tables?
melikecheese
Interesting. They used to make these in the 80's like one guy mentioned, they made both vertical linear tracking and normal flat ones. Typically these are servo motor run and the arm will scan the record, picking up the gaps and allowing you to hit track button 4 and the needle plays track four. This one looks like a piece of crap. Battery powered is kinda cool, until the batteries run low and it starts turning at 30rpm...

These types go for 200+ on eBay when offered. The Technics ones go for the cheapest, the Mitsubishi, surprisingly, goes for more often. psychoriley
Built in speakers? Reminds me of the old fisherprice 45 record players. This is just an "adult" version that hangs.....perfect for hanging above the toiletpaper dispenser, and you can spin records in the bathroom...Instead of a magazine rack throw some records in it. I won't lie, that DOES sound more entertaining than flipping through whatever magazines are lying around or the labels on random toiletries. sugarballs
Is it just me, or does this look like it will only take 7" records and smaller? That's what she said. Also, this would be a horrible waste of money.
deafmx
i'd much rather spring for one of these
dreamover
i'd much rather spring for one of these I've always thought these look cool. But can't be great for the record sitting out like that (my cats would destroy it) and I wonder if you can use a traditional cartridge. BTW do you know what the model is for that Sony? dreamover
Nevermind. It's the PS-F9. Sony's Walkman for Vinyl.
