silentgods Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 STOKED! seeing it tonight, however, i'm pretty worried as Green Lantern is my favorite superhero ever, and i'm sort of afraid they may have fucked up the mythology. i hope they throw at least one of the other Lanterns in the background or something, Rayner, Stewart or Gardner. anybody else going to see it? I'll be interested in seeing how it all melds together in the end. Honestly I am more excited about the sequel and Sinestro taking his place as the villain. AlexH. Posted June 18, 2011 Share Posted June 18, 2011 Just got back from seeing it at the drive-in. Really bad, but not bad in a way that was enjoyable to make fun of. Just a generic plot, ill-defined characters, and boring 5 minute all-CGI fight scenes. Basically like every other 2nd-tier superhero movie in the last 10 years. Then I saw Super 8 and it was AWESOME. The score, the cinematography (including the lens flare), the kids (who I thought had great chemistry) and even the monster.
