jerseydave77
Curious - is that the entire album streaming or just some of the songs? Either way - solid stuff.
lexicondevil
Yeah, I was really surprised. When "young pop" and "infectious" are used I am usually already done. I ended up getting the last lathe. Looking forward to spinning it.
jerseydave77
I've listened to this Bandcamp 3 times today and dig it a ton. It reminds me at times of Times New Viking, probably due to the distortion elements, but they never let the distortion control the music. Good find. protagonist
Curious - is that the entire album streaming or just some of the songs? Either way - solid stuff. Should be the entire album streaming there on bandcamp. It's 9 songs of goodness.
fourfourtwo
picked up the lathe a few days ago. When are the Child Meadows lps gonna be ready?
protagonist
picked up the lathe a few days ago. When are the Child Meadows lps gonna be ready? Awesome, the lathe should be cool.... hope you'll pick up the proper vinyl release too As for the Child Meadow LP, we are just waiting to hear that they shipped from France and then we'll put up the pre-order. Don't wanna jump the gun and have everyone waiting forever and ever... Should be very soon though!
lexicondevil
Wasn't into that video. The song is great, but the script must have been written by a 4th grader. It would have been better if it was all just them performing. Their cover of "Purple Rain" is surprisingly cool. I hate when bands do covers and they pretty much sound like the original. These guys put a nice spin on it. Worth the dollah to download.
protagonist
The video is childish, and therefore hilarious. Totally the point of the whole thing form what I gather.... However, more live footage woulda been cool. Maybe another video will happen. As for the Prince cover...there just may be some purple vinyl in honor of "The Artist" for the LP
lexicondevil
So, will the regular vinyl version have more songs than the lathe-cut? Purple Rain was a separate download. That would be perfect to include it and do the purple vinyl though.
rtw88
full live set. purple rain was wild. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxC4UyoxyLo&feature=share http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9_rbKYhw-g&feature=share
protagonist
Not sure what the status of "Purple Rain" will be for this release, or future possibilities, quite yet. The live stuff from May in the above Youtube videos is awesome Working on t-shirts!

protagonist
Cool! Mind if I ask who did the lathe cuts for you? We didn't do them actually, the band had a small label called Tangible Formats do them. You would have to check it out through that label to see where they were done. Also folks, the SED NON SATIATA LP repress and the new CHILD MEADOW LP are up for pre-order now. Check out the thread for info here: http://vinylcollective.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=67332
protagonist
Check out the FLASHLIGHTS music video for the track "Choking" from the upcoming LP "I'm Not Alone" to be released on Protagonist this winter. Watch here: http://www.facebook.com/ProtagonistMusic And here: http://player.vimeo.com/video/30380893 It's hilarious, childishly silly, and has zombies, guns, blood, testicles, and great pop-punk. Pretty much awesome all around T-shirts hopefully ready in a week or so...
