ManhattanValley
Best: Paramore w/ Hellogoodbye and Metric The National Arctic Monkeys w/ The Orwells Worst: Yo La Tengo!!!!!! they sucked, and the only reason I saw them was because they were opening for The National hahaha. We Butter The Bread With Butter w/ All Gone Grey, Honour Crest and Lions Lions were awesome. But the crowd was horrible.
̮ ɤ ̮
I've seen Yo La Tengo twice, the first time was one of the best concerts I've been to. The setlist was incredible with a lot of their longer, noisier songs (namely "We're An American Band" and "Blue Line Swinger"). Second time wasn't as good as the first time, but still okay. So yes, it can be a hit and miss with them depending on the setlist.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
You can tell the people that have been going to shows for a while because they have much better shows to choose from.

StrangeTerrain
best: the weeknd hands down. went with a friend for her birthday in the front row, I didn't even want to ask how much the tickets were or the limo to take us there. anyways Abel puts on the best show ever. cant think of a clear worst right now but skate and surf fest last year wasn't really amazing and I left early both days
SpazzyMcGee
Best: Every time I see mutemath Always blown away with the energy and performances. Worst: the rocket summer, Ben rector, the Maine (all opening acts) I went to a show with a girl once in high school with the worst lineup. Can't even remember all the bands but probably 4 or 5 groups with ridiculous names.
TheGhostOfRandySavage
Best ones: Alexisonfire/The Breaking Project - 2002 - 3 days before the S/T album came out I think? So good. There must have been 25 people there, tops. Coheed/Thrice/Thursday - 2002 or 2003, I saw Coheed and Thursday a bunch during 2002-2004, always good. Thursday/Funeral for a Friend? I think?/Brazil/Rainer Maria - 2004 Deer Tick/Nat Baldwin - 2005 apartment show, maaaaaybe 20 people there. John got really drunk and played Christ Jesus on bass backed up by Nat Baldwin. That may actually have been the best one. David Bazan - Control tour - 2012 or 2013 Worst: Siren Festival... I got really sick and got heat poisoning or heat stroke or whatever. - 2008 Just about any show at Hawthorne Theater. Edit: reading back through your posts I'm remembering other great shows! Elephant 6 Christmas spectacular or whatever in like 2009 or 2010 was great, Jeff Mangum at Crystal Ballroom was incredible...Pretty much any show I saw at the Bug Jar was amazing. That's where I saw Alexisonfire, Elephant 6, Arcade Fire, Dirty Projectors, Vampire Weekend, Matt and Kim the first time. That venue only fit like 150 people when it was packed full. Also, haven't seen Coheed in forever. Do they still do Iron Maiden covers for their encores?
