mrc
Hello Tea Drinkers. My girl has really gotten into drinking tea lately, and i wanted to get her some good tea, or cool accessories for V-Day however i am a clueless coffee drinker. I think she picked up some loose leaf caffeine free (with ginseng) at Teavana but Im not sure the flavor/blend. I will do some snooping tonight to figure out what see usually drinks. Do you guys have any recommendations for blends, or tea kettles or gadgets or whatever. When it comes to wine and tea i am truly ignorant. Thanks for any advice. matt
robthepenguin
My girlfriend was into tea for a bit. She got a bunch of shit for it. I can ask her later tonight and see if she has anything to contribute.
jerseydave77
The Republic of Tea site is solid - not always overpriced but it has a lot of gift ideas. If you think she might get into drinking Mate then a decent Mate set is always a nice tea related gift.
imaxcowboyx
http://www.amazon.com/Kikkerland-Robot-Infuser-Drip-Tray/dp/B005SW8D7W I got my girlfriend this little guy for christmas, and she loves it. And if ya wanna get her wine, go with a Chilean Carmenere. They're (usually) cheap, and almost always on point. Plus, extra snob points if you talk about how it's "the lost grape," haha: http://www.slate.com/articles/life/drink/2010/12/the_lost_grape_of_bordeaux.html

avery
i found an electric water kettle to be invaluable, timewise. also, my husband's family is british and tea cosies/cozies are the thing there so i got his sister a tea cosy. it's a lot like a beer koozie, but it keeps a tea pot warm. you can get them in all sorts of shapes/designs. she used to have a rooster and i got her a strawberry. you can buy them from amazon, etsy or here: http://www.english-teapots.com/england/tea_cozy.htm
weepingwillow
Adagio Teas has great tea and some cool gift bundles. Can't go wrong with anything on the gift set screen. If she already has the pot, they have a bunch of straight tea options.

deadreckoning
My girlfriend is an avid tea drinker. I would certainly recommend a diffuser like the ones listed above. There are also travel mugs with a strainer/infuser included in it, which is nice to take for the morning commute. If she drinks at home there are many nice little tea pots to be found. If you have a local tea shop in town you may want to peruse their wares. If you know what kinds of teas she likes you can buy a bunch of packaged bags (4oz, 8oz, etc.) of loose leaf. My girlfriend goes crazy over some type of coconut chai. There is a store in Philly called Steap that i have been to too many times with her. http://www.premiumsteap.com/
