selfreliable
I was coming here to post this, but Im pretty sure I saw Rites of Spring on the list somewhere. Edit: For Want Of is infact on the list.
kriss
I only looked at 100-90 and 10-1 and those disgusted me so much that I couldn't bring myself to look through the other 8 pages...
Guest errolwest
there are a good amount of good bands in here, but godfuckingdamnit my chemical romance, at number one? REALLY?! ameican football-never meant should probably have been #1.
almightyseancore
calm americans is at #80? someone has a fucked up ear. and yeah, rites of spring is there. at #37. but not a single mineral song, and mcr at number 1? this critic is an idiot. selfreliable
What? you dont agree that Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance wrote the top emo songs? You be crazy man.
kriss
While I may have spoke too soon (Drive Like Jehu, Rites, Promise Ring, Embrace, etc all getting much, much lower spots - better than nothing?), I still stick by my disgust. hahah
saxamaphone
This list was made by a 15 year old girl on livejournal circa 2003.
selfreliable
This list was made by a 15 year old girl on livejournal circa 2003. That would explain all the Promise Ring
hankmurphy
Is Lifetime considered emo?

almightyseancore
maybe its going in order of which songs they heard first? that would explain the top 10 list.

jblahmaster
This list... haha. I don't think some bands should be on there twice (Finch, My chemical Romance). While there are some good songs on this list, some others are just too hilarious to take seriously.
jerseydave77
The first mistake is caring about the top 100 emo songs. The second is not putting Moonraker, Honeywell or Don Martin 3 in here. It took 4 pages to find an actual emo band on the list in Jejune. This dude had to file something and clowned themselves with their choices. plasma36
Very few bands should ever be repeated on a best of list. And if it's hard to find 100 bands, then don't do a top 100 list.

adictsdroog1
Mainstreamo This. And why is Alkaline Trio lumped into the same list as Coheed? 13 year old me just getting into punk and still kind of listening to emo would still punch this critic for this list. mattisr1984
I hate these fucking lists and the people that compile them. Waste of time.
Guest
this list would have been more accurate if they weren't numbered. at the least, it reminded me to download a few things i havent heard in years. and yeah, we all get it... "this isnt real emo... this stuff that no one else has ever heard of is real emo". but this here is the most common perception of what the emo genre was.
