Guest Posted March 31, 2015 Share Posted March 31, 2015 Just got yelled at by some lady bitching me out b/c I pulled in to their parking lot "like a maniac" and that I'm lucky that their dog wasn't being walked otherwise I would've hit it and her boyfriend, who is much bigger than me (according to her), would've kicked my ass for it. And this is right at the shop I'm working at now...in the parking lot next door that's shared with that building whose owner is that crazy lady. Sounds like fun. I hate people. Was told one thing, when I got there it was completely different. I think they do it on purpose when they know a job sucks, just to draw you in. I think he was just more preparing me for work I could be doing in the future. Cause it sounds like I need to build these sites first and fore most. But then they need database work and the like. So I might just do the site shit and bounce. We shall see. He foreshadowed to a lot of potential network admin. work since they don't have an admin. I have no idea how they manage without one. Haha. It's freelance and I'll do as much as I can to hold me over until I find something. Here's where it gets interesting. And you'll appreciate this Jon, it's porn. But it's dark fetish porn, so everything they do isn't exactly "legal". So I have to use specific hosts / domains / servers that don't "mind" this content. Mostly I'll be building the main page that hosts the content, has order forms, shopping cart, RSS feeds, etc. Nothing too crazy. But I do get paid under the table and will get paid pretty damn well for it. I don't start for a week or two, so I'll be sure to let you guys know what happens. I've been here for a while now and I have thrown a flag about all sorts of misogynistic comments, that word being up there on the list as probably the most often used one. The consensus from the people here have been to pick my battles, so that's what I've been doing.
