Family Friendly Rap God Posted May 28, 2014 Share Posted May 28, 2014 I love living in Charleston but there are moments when "old Charleston" drives me nuts! Our bar/club district is downtown near a lot of really nice neighborhoods (Rich people with money), so they are pressuring the local government to shut down the bars and clubs at 12 instead of 2am. They did this a few years back moving it from 6am to 4am. I have a lot of friends who work F&B as well as my dad who's a DJ on the side, so this hurts their pockets big time. The messed up part is that I can't vote on it due to not live in "Charleston County". Mind you the mayor is in his last term after being in office for 40 years.
