Now, every time they come around, I can't bring myself to pay whatever crazy price tickets are listed at. Same problem with Sigur Ros. There's also the Spring Awakening festival at Soldier Field in June. Seems pretty similar. Similar, but EDC is a much bigger production, bigger acts, a lot of things going on. Not sure what you'd be looking for. If overall ambience and experience, EDC by a landslide. If you're looking to stay in Chicago and don't mind it ends at 10-11pm, whereas EDC goes til 4am - then Spring Awakening is where it's at. The EDC lineup is monsterous - many will agree that it's the best Chicago has ever seen for electronic music.
