Listen to a hungry Jay early on in his career, or the densely-crafted multi-syllable rhymes of Vol. 3.. Life and Times of S. Carter, and compare them to MCHG. It was probably easier to confirm to shut people up rather than dealing with people asking for months. Granted, now fans are wondering, but I'm sure their press person is less busy.
