I think the difference is that this is the first year this has been available outside of the Saddle Creek online store.

mpitts
Today I scored copies of: Jingle Bell Jazz (http://www.discogs.com/Various-Jingle-Bell-Jazz/release/2468067) Star Wars - Christmas In The Stars (http://www.discogs.com/Meco-Christmas-In-The-Stars-Star-Wars-Christmas-Album/release/489149) How The Grinch Stole Christmas (http://www.discogs.com/Dr-Seuss-How-The-Grinch-Stole-Christmas/release/1764993) This tiny store also had two used copies of Charlie Brown Christmas for $4 or $5 Are you in Cincinnati? nick6ten
I've yet to visit Black Plastic. My usual stops are Everybody's and Shake It. Same here. Is Black Plastic in Northside? I also haven't gotten to Sugarcube. One of these days, when I have some time off work I'll get to check them out.
jtcohenour
Now I know this isn't on vinyl, but c'mon! It's GB! Probably the most egocentric, douchey, pompous sonofabitch there ever was, but man, could he sing a song. I watched a TV special of his a few weeks ago. It was cool watching him sing some of the songs that influenced his work.

Pricing is hit or miss, but he will wind up with some nice, obscure stuff, you just have to dig. Also, he will post what's going into the bins on his Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/blackplasticrecords) Tacocracy is right next door and they have awesome food. Definitely worth a visit when you are going to Shake It.

nick6ten
the home alone 1 & 2 OSTs are awesome soundtracks and really set the mood apparently they pressed the first movies: http://www.discogs.com/John-Williams-Home-Alone/release/5176167 There are usually 2 copies at a time listed on ebay, and they are always from South Korea and typically $40-$70. I grabbed a Home Alone 2 soundtrack last year and it's excellent. The Home Alone 2 soundtrack is the songs from the movie, the Home Alone soundtrack is the John Williams score. I've been eying the Home Alone soundtrack for a couple months now, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Since I'm bringing this thread back for the season, is anyone going to see this? Its playing locally (Cincinnati) for a week, starting this Friday.

watchtower41
Christmas Vacation sorely needs to be pressed. WB would sell SO many copies of a remastered OST CD and Vinyl. Seems like a no-brainer. I keep waiting..... I would also LOVE at the My Morning Jacket Does Xmas Fiasco Style on wax.

Guest
Fuck. Black Friday is bad enough.. What's worse is that it's the inevitable beginning of Christmas music lodged in my ears all day every day for a month straight.
